What do you think of this Diamond?

This is my idea of what a Pool Table is,
VictPOOLTable.jpg

Doesn't look as if it is set up or meant for playing. Looks as if it is there for decoration. Too close to the wall and some useless stuff on it that shouldn't be there.

Got anything else?

This last picture is of another new design, only it's showing the Diamond leveling system so there's no slate in it. It'll take a 3 piece slate, or just like the table pictured above, a one piece slate. Diamonds can be bought either way with the slates.

I like tha bow legged table, tha new pics show it alot better. Bet it looks great in person.

If your looking just asthetics in mind for a diamond table and being subtle, the Black Widow Diamond Table's they have at the Bass Pro Shop in Altoona, Iowa are as good as they get(minus the black widow logo on the felt!!!!!!!).
I tried to search for a picture via the google intraweb thingy but couldn't find anything.

It is truely a stunning table and still staying true to the pro-am look. If anyone has a picture, please post one.

If your looking for a new design to market, that should be the one, imo. It would serve well for commercial as well as a "furniture" piece for the home.

I think that I like the straight legs better as well.

A couple of quick questions

1. what's the wood? Maple?

2. Which stains are those?

3. How different will they play than the commercial tables?

Mmmm, not too fond of those bowed legs. I think I'm with a lot of people here that prefer the Pro. Now, I saw one tournament via Accu-Stats where they were playing on a Diamond Pro that was made out of something like Cherry or something like that? A real deep red, rich looking wood. I loved that one a lot.

We'll call the one pictured "The John Wayne" or "The Duke"

Diamond had that table at the Expo this year. It looks much better in person than in that picture. I still like the old school Diamond Professional table before the Pro-Am's came out.

The table pictured is a knockout in person but for what it costs to custom make you could buy a Pro-Am and some very nice house cues. I am thinking Chad Scharlow told me it would be around $10K. Could be wrong but that is the number that pops into my head.

Amen, and Amen. !

personally I think these legs look ridiculous. yes the Diamonds play wonderful but that has not been in question for years. However their looks have always been rather bland IMO(except for the 7'smart tables, I like those). Give me a Centennial, Anniversary, or GCI ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!

There's no difference in the play of these tables when compared to the Diamond commercial line up of tables. Don't know what wood or stain makes up these tables, didn't ask:grin: just thought I'd share with everyone here:grin:

I like the way it looks. If I had the space and cash for a table, Id buy that one. I like the GC's and the other Diamonds, but I like the looks of this one way better. On the other hand, if they played the same, I wouldnt pay much extra just for the cool look of the table, cuz after all, its all about how they play.

Well, I think it's beautiful!

Obviously, it's not really intended for a pool room. The home table market is huge! Probably the largest market in billiards. Diamond has never really sold much into that market and this is a step in the right direction.

Of course, Gold Crowns are excellent tables and have been the standard for years. But, Diamond has upped the ante! The leveling system and construction of he Diamond tables has made them much easier to move around the country and setup quickly. I believe Diamond's technology far surpasses the Gold Crown. I only have 2 issues with the Diamond tables. I don't like the marks the pockets put on the balls, and they play too "bouncey" when they get just a little dirty. When they are fresh and clean, nothing comes even close to how good they play.

RKC, I do like that table.
