what does your AZB username mean...?

When I was a young teen, I had an accident involving a rope swing tied to a tree on a high cliff over the lake. I forgot to let go on the swing out and ended up letting go on the way in. Needless to say, I slid down the cliff into the water. Many days wrapped in bandages like a mummy and my nickname was sealed in stone. Pace is my last name. I'm better know as Billiard or Hawaiian Mike at Q-Masters tho.

I used to be into X-Men comics, and my online name was CreeD
after the last name of the villain Sabretooth (I liked Wolverine more actually,
but everyone else did too and I didn't want to be a copycat and do "logan" or something).

I chatted on IRC and kept getting harrassed by someone who wanted
to use the same nickname... plus after a while, people thought I was a fan of the band Creed,
though my nickname predated them. So I started using CreeDo.

f*ck rope swings!
I never was badass enough do one over a cliff, I did one off some rocks at the edge of a lake.
The rocks were just a foot or two above the surface. I swung out, got chickenshit,
and allowed myself to swing back, trying to just land on the rocks.
But I didn't think it through. High speed + no protective clothing + rocks.
I banged my shin and got a knot the size of a tennis ball.
I also ripped both the calluses off the bottom of my big toes.

If you want a cheap production pool cue,
case, or a good scotch doubles partner...
I am the poolguy4u.

We should schedule a contact sometime. I have only a couple contacts in the logbook from your neck of the woods.

I can work all the bands and am currently playing with VOIP linking. 29115 is my Allstar node and can be found on IRLP 1002. Echolink is also a possibility.

I'm set up for SSB, CW, and PSK on HF.

Cool.

I used to have a 96 300zx that did 10.8's off the bottle and 10.3's on a 2 stage 150 shot.

I seriously miss that car!!!
Not bad times.....but it probably didn't last very long. the stock VG bottom end doesn't hold up well to N20. I've got several Z32's (90-96). The older ones didn't really do anything for me, but they do have a large following.

I play a lot of pool in my ahhh.....attic...yeah that's it.

When I first started posting on here I didn't venture out too often but that's changed a bit in the past couple of years.

Look out world here I come.

Chicago: An American city, 3rd largest in the US, and considered by many experts to be the most politically corrupt in the country led by Democrats for the past 7 decades. And also the place of my birth, but NOT the place in which I currently reside :)

RJ: My initials and current moniker in life.

Actually, I thought I was putting in a password not a screen name. Yes, this was the first forum I've ever joined, before Facebook and all the others, and was not familiar with the term "screen name".. I've since joined a few others and know to think harder on my "screen name" choice.

Mine refers to what was one of my favorite things to do when flying my Decathlon aerobatic trainer - cut the power at the numbers on the downwind leg, call short base to final, hard countersteer (slip) to basically fall out of the sky directly towards the numbers, and straighten it out at the last second for a very short landing.

God I can still feel the rush. Why the f*ck did I stop flying.

I was just thinking, some people use nicknames, some people use their real names...

for those of you who care to share:
how did you come up with your AZB name, what does it mean... let's here some back story

"Women don't need lubricant; all they need is Slick Rick"

My fav. forms of Billiards (which is inconclusive... I also enjoy Russian if given the opportunity):
P - Pocket Billiards
C - Carom Billiards
S - Snooker (English Billiards)

Satori is a Zen concept. Satori occurs when attention rests in the present moment, when the body is alert, sensitive, relaxed, and the emotions are open and free. Satori is the warrior's state of being.

Satori is a word from the Japanese Zen tradition that points to a "sudden awakening" or insight into our fundamental nature. This insight is not the result of abstract mental concepts or ideas but rather a momentary, experiential fusing of body, mind and emotions. You experience satori:
-when the mind is free of internal distractions, with attention focused on the present moment;
-when emotional energies flow freely -- spontaneous, uninhibited, and expressive -- manifesting as motivation; and
-when the body feels vital, relaxed, energized, and sensitive.

This state of body mind intergration, inner-outer harmony, feels good on every level; it's the state that athletes describe in glowing metaphors.

Laziness on my part. My initials plus a car I sold back in 2007. Well not sold as much as I passed it's care on to a younger friend in exotic Istanbul. So, I just use the same posting name on all the boards I visit.

Pic of the car...a 1972 Porsche 911S.

In my experience, all of my "OOPS" moments usually immediately followed those hallowed words...."Hey...Watch this!" After the buzz (from mostly illegal means) wore off, all I had was my bandages to keep me warm (Fog Horn Leg Horn reference)!
