What happened to Robb Saez?

If someone comes after you with a weapon of any type that can cause you injury,
- your duty is to make them unable to function the fastest way possible. No consideration need be given them at all.
there is thousands in jail who thought the same thing ,, On side note I'm finding in real hard to believe Shane packs enough punch to break that bone ,, I also would never believe anything I read here or any where else ,, Iv seen more of these things go down than I care to remember and the comon denominator is eye witnesses are a very relyable source in finding out what really happened

It's sad to see elite players go off the drunken deep end. They need to slow down on the rocket fuel and get home by midnight.

???? I had a buddy that weighed about 145 and was a golden gloves fighter. We would go to the bars with the punching machines. He would beat rednecks all night long, punching the bag flat footed. Not saying Shane is a boxer but he just might know how to throw a punch and/or Robb could have (and most likely does) weak bones.

I know a few people very capable of the one-two putting your face in a different order. It's all fun and shit talk till somebody finally splits your Wig. In real life some people get hurt when they fight. Who'd of thunk!

If you come at someone with a pool cue, you get what you get and you can't say it's not deserved. You have the potential to end that persons life with one well place hit, so that's a threat on your life. When you do that, the range of consequences are, nothing will happen to death in some cases. Assuming that's how it went down. Either way, it's no good for either player and no good for pool.

I've done many things while drunk that I regretted so I'm not casting stones, I'm just sayin...

Precisely....you beat them down and look for someone to call next.

These guys will work this out I expect. Probably be hanging around in days.

Iv had numerous gold glove friends probaly more than capable just never seen them or anyone else do it with a punch

I agree, if the sword gets drawn, it is gonna get used.

I also think that if anyone fights in the pool rom, they should be banned, at least in the short term.
There had to have been opportunities for this to be avoded.
Ialso think that regardless of its origin, to be going through what robbs got on for the near future sucks. I hope he realizes the risk isnt worth the reward, when it comes to rage.

So one guy won the tournament and the other got his arse handed to him. My dad always told me "If you're gonna be dumb you'd better be tough." Too bad this Rob guy never heard that.

I was there. They gambled while drunk and Robb was running his mouth all night talking shit and calling Shane names.. Shane got sick of it and they went at it twice.
The problem with broke pros..

Needless to say, it was annoying as **** especially when I was in action myself.
I know both guys. I've never known rob to be real mouthy but I'm not always around him either. Shane just seems way too quiet to get that out of line but he is from new York lol. Alcohol doesn't help the matter either

It was posted on Facebook today (I think by Erica) that Robb is out of the hospital and the bone just had a hair line fracture. Really not that difficult to do...
Bottom line, come at me with a cue (or anything) as a weapon, I'm not stopping until I know you are unable to hurt me!

No Shit!!

Chris Young is banned from Big Tymes, and that's Billy the Manager's brother.

I bet if Billy would have been there he would have broke it up before Robb got severely injured.

I feel bad for Robb. Every time I've been around Robb he's been a cool guy.

It's easy to beat up a heavily intoxicated dude. Shane should be ashamed of himself.

Am I wrong?

if you fight in a pool hall then you should be kicked out. i dont care who you are. an average pool player would have been kicked and banned.

Not just wrong, Hungarian nuts.

Oh Shit, disregard my previous post.

Robb is my boy, but he's a belligerent drunk and starts fights often while drinking. They wrestled and shane let him go and went to leave, but Robb went after him with pool cue. That's when it got ugly. Sometimes when people get mad enough to fight they're not really thinking about the # of times they should hit you. Very unfortunate situation really. Robb definitely should not drink alcohol of any kind.

Even a hair line fracture takes a pretty good whollop but it's far from the kinda break that requires surgery ,,
Bottom line is don't threaten with a cue unless you intend on using it

even very good pool players are eligible to get their eye dotted if they act a fool

get over it, learn from it and i think RS will

what are the odds of the medical bills being paid:smile:

Some at the venue stated it was instigated by Shane. Then you have others saying it was instigated by Robb. A few players who saw the beating say that Shane's beating did not warrant whatever Robb did. Of course, we get into the three sides of the story. Majority of us on this thread weren't there and were not eyewitnesses to the incident.

I went to a Carolinas Open at a closed bar, Fast Eddie's in Goldsboro, NC. There were two kids from Florida there who were drunk as skunks. They were flashing a lot of cash and wanting to gamble. They were young, loud, and probably weighed about 110 pounds wet.

They went up to Gene Hooker, one of the owners of Fast Eddie's, and started barking at him. Whatever they said--I didn't hear it--four HUGE men weighing probably 250 to 300 pounds carried these two Florida kids outside and beat the crap out of them, stomping them, hitting them in their face, kicking them in their back. It seemed as if it was 15 minutes of beating. It was horrible to see. Four great big guys beating these two drunk kids up. I'm sure they suffered lifetime injuries from this beating.

My point in sharing the story is that nobody deserves to have physical harm come to them in this manner. When a guy is down, you don't continue to pound their face in over and over and over again until you crack their eye socket and scratch their cornea. I don't give a damn what happened before that time. It's wrong.

The owner of the venue may want to take measures to prevent this from happening again. Places get shut down because of things like this. They can lose their liquor license, et cetera.

Jam, you know I'm normally with you. But in this case I know you know better. Not saying you don't disagree and that's fine but you know how it is round this way and a lot of other places. Drunk or not, you run your mouth, threaten, cheat, stiff, or generally disrespect the wrong person / place you have to know the consequences . Honestly a just a beat down he was lucky. You know as well as I do down your way or up my way if he picked up a stick and went at someone he would have been shot and put down. You just don't do that. Fighting is one thing ( although with much of the youngins now a days there is no such thing ) but a weapon all bets are off.

Deleted remarks, with apologies to Shane Winter and Robb Saez.

jam deleted and out of respect. I am deleting her quote here!.
The last part is 100% correct. Walking into a pool room after doing something like that is very dangerous around these parts. People get the duck tape treatment Around these parts and more than a few have gone missing!
