What Is The Avg Age Of AZB members?

These are the members with the avatars of scantily dressed women with their genitals hanging out. It may be the future of our game, but I am glad it is a low number. ;)

Too many avatars of women with exaggerated buttocks and breasts, which are implants in most cases. Whatever floats their boat, I guess, but why it's allowed on a pool forum is something I do not understand.

A woman's body can be beautiful anatomy, but not when they are displayed in vulgar positions so that young male members can masturbate their eyeballs.
I've got the best avatar on this forum. I captured it off a DVD, scaled, resized and made it fit for an avater......not just something I just stole off the internet....and no female anatomy....the boys playin' pool!! Win!

I'm 40.....born in 74.

Nice avatar and very creative!

My 42-year-old daughter is older than you, but she can't play pool. :p

What's really interesting about this thread is that its dated 2005 and, you make reference to the fact that there were some 3,000 members back then.

Jeez this site has grown a LOT in that time.

Today, there are some are multiple-identitied members. A person may forget their password or e-mail, and so they re-create a new identity. And then there's the banned members and multiple-identitied trolls posting, but hopefully, they're in the minority.

As well, some members might decide to join this forum and may never come back after a few posts. I have joined various non-pool-related forums in the past, thinking I would enjoy them, but after a while, due to lack of activity or interest, I quit posting on them. I'm sure that happens here a lot.

And then, sad to say, some members are still listed as "active," but they are deceased. I know Hemicudas, as an example, is still listed as an active member, and he passed away a few years ago. I'm sure there are others who have passed away, but no one may know about them being gone because they were anonymous.

This is still the largest pool website on the Internet, and it has grown by leaps and bounds. The climate on this forum has changed a lot, and for me personally, some of it is good, but some of it is not my cup of tea.

Just like pool tournaments, you can't please everybody. :p

11% are 18-24
18% are 25-34
21% are 35-44
21% are 45-54
12% are 55-64
6% are over 65.

We have to track these demographics for our advertisers.

Figures are from Quantcast.

Best,
Jerry

Where does Quantcast get the figures, NSA ?

You made a good funny - ;)

...
We talk about demo often when at tournaments - leagues, etc.

I don't remember too much from my statistics class but if the membership of AZB forums hits even a small percentage of the pool world, I suspect the demo table shown is pretty close to the playing population.

at 71, I'm in that 6% group.
My everyday playing cue is older than 70% of the AZ's

The average age is approx. 47 years old.

That's the average age for just about any group of men involved in an "ageless" activity (i.e. not skateboarding).

Don't feel bad. I am also in the 6%. Thinking about spending the day building my coffin. :)

Wait! I just sent your email address to the Neptune Society. I got a post card from them today. I get $10 off and an extra 20 degrees for each referral.

12 percenter, here.

I was born in '57, which would make me about, well......57.
