I think this is worded a little strangely.
What % is shotmaking??? Well probably about 90%, If you're making less than 90% of the shots you're shooting, then you ain't gonna be able to compete with the top pros.
All the shape in the world, all the safety play in the world, isn't going to save you if you make only a moderate percentage of the shots you shoot.
Now if you say, once I've achieved shot making percentages of 95%, how important is shape, safety play etc... then that would be a good time to compare the percentages.
I would say that shotmaking would still take up probably 60%, but again, it depends. If you don't know how to get shape at ALL, then making 95% of the shots won't do you ANY good whatsoever.
If you can get to the right side of the OB 90% of the time but only 6-10 inches of where you want to be, then shotmaking will make a huge difference.
To play top notch pool, you have to be good at everything. But how much any given aspect of pool takes precedence over any other aspect is going to be based on an individual basis and how strong you are at one over another.
I've know players who can finger print for shape who and will make 90% of their shots, who will lose to someone who is only marginally good at speed control and will make 98% of the shots they shoot.
There's just no real answer to the question. Too many variables are involved for there to be.
