what other custom cues hit like a SW?

Personally, I like my puppies covered in stripper glitter and obnoxious perfume.

...Or white wife-beaters and a lot of water.

...maybe nothing at all except pasties and baby oil?!?
 
A cue that would hit close to SW would have to have a PARABOLIC OR COMPOUND TAPER.
If you have a cue with .840 joint and 1.250-1.270 at the bottom on a straight angle, it ain't gonna hit like a SW. Sorry.
 
Rick Howard

I have had Bluegrass, Omen and Howard cues. I like Rick Howard cues. I am currently playing with a SW, but if I did not have the SW I would be playing with one of Rick's cues.

His cues have a certain resonance to them. It is like a I can feel a sound in my head when the ball is hit correctly. The SW has something to it for me that makes the game a little bit easier- not sure what it is but there is something there.

Bluegrass and Omen are nice as well. IMHO neither had the live feeling of a Howard or SW.

Mace cues are the jump breaks. The cues with the big pin are the customs.
 
I have never seen a Sothwest cue, but from what I understand South West hits and plays like a South West.

Omen cues play similar. Pete is a stickler for design, also. I've had two or three and they all play similar. Just bought another one.
 
Rick Howard Cue

Rick Howard Custom Playing Cue, Not the Mace even though they play good also, but not the same pin as his custom cues....His cues are at the top in my opinion for playability.....I would still like to get one my self........

Years ago asbestos was banned. It was used as the lining in brake pads. The auto makers tried their best to come up with a substitute. They finally did. It performed as well as abestos. The problem was it had all of the characteristics of asbestos and was also considered a carcinogen.

A young kid walks in my local hall. He has a casefull of his uncle's cues.
He says his uncle makes them and they hit like SW.
I look at them. They look like they have Schon taper.
He says you can test shot them but you can't chalk the tip.
He doesn't have a demo shaft either.
Nobody bought.

Recently I picked up a rick howard cue from dpence on here and wow this cue plays EXACTLY the same. The rick howard is also a six point cocobolo with veneers on half the points with ring work.

Get a rick howard six poiner in the same configuration as I described above and you won't be let down I assure you. Plus you will spend less than 1k.
