One time I was talking to Shawn about Shannon and I expressed how I loved watching the shots that Shannon comes up with. Very exciting & fun to watch. His comment was "Yeah if you like watching people get out of line all of the time." (FYI, Shawn & Shannon are friends, he didn't say it with malice). That's when I realized that I find it more entertainting to watch great players get out of line than it is to watch great players play perfect.girlwon1 said:On the men's side, I love Jon Schmidt's 9 ball. He gets out of line just enough sometimes to have to come with a great shot, and invariably he pulls it off. Fun to watch!

He told me winning isnt as important to him as playing well. If I lose a tough set or do something that costs me a match or something like that I think of what he told me and I shake it off where as before I would of let it bother me.

I am curious to know if there is a pool player out there that really inspires you - this could include the enjoyment of watching them or just plainly (as I like to call it) "puts fire in your belly" to play better. If so, who and why?
