What would Efren do...Shirt

Key word here: cousin. Even with your family hook ups you're paying $11.50, plus all the effort you're going through to save a few bucks.

I will never understand pool players. Always grinding...

Thanks for the support. Much appreciated. Oddly enough, the USD and CAD are almost at even. It works out roughly the same either way.

I agree I got a discount....she regularly sells her shirts for 16.50. And she is the one that told me what she would charge for the shirts...and there was no effort on my part other than emailing her the picture, and me driving to her shop which is like 1/2 mile from my work

She made shirts for a local church for VBS, and she was 7.50 cheaper per shirt than everywhere the church looked...

I like your nine ball design Nathan. I'll pick that up when I order my Venom DVD. I appreciate the work that you, OTR and TAR do.

Keep in mind that multiple colours drives the price of the shirt up, WAY up in most cases. The best you're looking at is probably 4 colours per shirt unless you go to sublimation.

Yea I agree....everything I have had her make is simple like the Efren pic i posted....I just sent her some Air barrell pics, Air Barrel Sniper pic, and 7 more...but all that she is making me is like 3-4 colors

Double the printing price every time an extra colour is added.

Single colour, on a white shirt is the bottom of the barrell in terms of cost.

Yea I agree....the shirts I have had her print them on are, black, red, bue and olive green. I think she can get alot other diff colors, them are the ones that I just asked her to print them on..but yes, white is cheapest

This is crazy. If you want a $10 shirt to cover your back, go buy one. If you want a shirt that is creative and specific to your sport, this is it. Some guy who knows something about pool came up with a unique "pool" design. IMO, the shirt is worth the ~$20 + shipping. Every buy an AF shirt? Hello $50 meaningless t-shirt.

Silly question, what is an AF shirt?

AF is probably Abercrombie & Fitch...

And no, $20 is not bad for a t-shirt at all...

Do you question the price of everything as such? Must be very fun to hang out with... do you have any idea how the typical model of sales for anything goes?

Lets see... pick a product.

It gets manufactured for "x" dollars

Manufacturer marks it up to "2x" , to cover costs, advertising, salaries, etc... whatever. It was made for $1, he sells to distributors for $2.

Distributors want to make some money too, so they buy for $2, and sell for $4 to a wholesaler.

The wholesaler sells it to a retailer for $8

And, your retailer sells it to your for $16.

From $1 to $16, just like that.

This is a very simplified example, but I too get tired of hearing people complain about pricing. What about the time to build a webpage, market your product, travel time and hotel fees for going to events... all of this stuff is time spent that someone needs to get paid for. You'd never buy anything if you constantly compared the cost of manufacturing the item vs. the selling price. How much does a pair of Nike's cost to make, maybe $7 tops? And what is the actual value of a fine $2000 hand made cue? It's just a bunch of wood really, raw materials maybe $150; so should it only sell for $250 - because that's what you think is fair? ... you pay for the ideas, abilities, and talents of others sometimes, it's just life. You have an option to buy if you want, no one's forcing you.

I'm too tired to explain better now, but relax - $20 ain't bad for a t-shirt. If you like it, what's so bad? Don't get a cheap shirt; pay him $25 because you like it, and enjoy the smiles your friends get off the cool new shirt you just got... all the ideas and efforts of other people for a measly $25.

I've made very basic t-shirts in orders of 100 or so for a number of small events.....cost is usually $10-$11 per for a quality t-shirt with even a basic print, only one color.....consider marketing, all costs associated with shipping and any other parts of the sale.....$20 is reasonable for a good quality shirt that you like....

I have quite a few nice t-shirts that I bought for $10.....but they were all $25 or more when they came out.....my cheap butt waited for them for over a year to go on clearance, where they sell it at a loss to just move the inventory

If you go to 10 different places you'll get 10 different prices but that seems VERY expensive. The market is very competitive so it isn't hard to find quality at a cheaper price if you shop around.

It wouldn't be hard to find the same thing for half (or less) the $10-$11 price you paid.

All I have to say is Support your sport and the people that are trying to make a little living from it..

I just purchased mine...Now do the same if you like it.

Oh I totally agree with you there.......Thats why I buy TAR shirts....and will buy some OTR shirts...I like to get the best price I can, but spending 20.00 on a TAR or OTR shirt is well worth it to me, because it helps these guys go out and bring us live pool
