They looked like they should have been playing even to me.
I agree they should have been playing even but then i give the edge to Cubc if he would just slow down a bit and stop shaking. :D

I really dont think they could have played even. I think he just left too many hanging 7's for her. If he doesnt leave 6,7 8 hangers, we have a totally different game.

A couple 7s on the break, a 9 on the break. She played well enough to win. Based on that showing, I wouldnt hesitate to play either of them if the right game came along.

Do they have real names?

I have no ida who these "players" are. Maybe it doesn't matter!

They are both "B" players for sure. Cubc has a little more skill, but OMGWTF has more knowledge and much better shot selection. Many of the shots that Cubc chose were "D" player shots at best.

i don't think it's fair to determine either one's speed based on just this match up. playing for 3K of your own money while it's being broadcasted live over the internet -that's tough on anyone. i think they both were shaky and didn't show what either one's fully capable yet.

only saw first 6 games..all i can say is i would play either one of them...not that im a player or anything...just like to gamble..

"They both suck" as an option? Cmon lenny, you're better than that.
Hey bud,i only listed it because we had alot of internet cool guys in the chat during the match saying it,i came to realize all the players in the chat were A players. I personally cant talk,i would have been nervous as hell too playing like they were,i dont think they suck, they are average players and i respect them for getting in there,im glad no one has checked They Both Suck! :)

now that I know who she is ive played and beat omgwtf, she was even on the show ballbreakers (don't know if anyone remembers), but she plays ok probably in a race to 30 she would come out about a C.

First and foremost, a round of applause should go to both players for volunteering to do this over the Internet, LIVE in Vegas, at their own expense.

"Dance, monkey, dance" for the viewers at home, so that they can critique your every move, what you wore, what you look like, and how well you shoot. :(

With the round of applause out of the way, I will say at the outset that I did not have any monies bet on this challenge match, which may be why my interest did not say glued to the Internet for hours watching them.

I caught 10 minutes of it on the FREE coverage by TAR.

BTW, why is it that TAR can produce such lovely broadcasts, so clear and crisp, and the recent Predator broadcasts were so poor in quality? They were both FREE, and that's a good thing, but the comparison between the two of them is night and day.

That said, I couldn't watch the match in its entirety. Maybe if I knew the players personally, I would have enjoyed it more, or if I had some money on the line.

For sure, they play 100 percent better than me, but I am used to watching a different caliber of play. I could sit all night long in a local pool room watching Richmond's Larry Kressel playing against Brandon Shuff, as an example. :)

I think it was a unique opportunity for these two players to perform on a field of green for this much cash and have it viewed by hundreds of pool folk. Sweating the match for me was not my cup of tea. However, TAR should be commended for doing this for nothing, all in the name of pool.

Hip, hip, hooray for TAR, and a standing ovation for cubc and OMG! :)

At the risk of bragging I played for $3,000 with the cameras once and a room full of people and it didnt bother me a bit, i shut it all out. I did see the video and was disappointed with what I saw. My back was real bad I was full of pills and I rushed the shots due to pain not nerves-it looked like the video I have of myself here at home. However I have played alot of years and $3,000 isnt as much for me as other people, the WTF chick(who I think is cool) held up great and has alot to be proud of, the other guy seemed to get weak, something I too have done in front of a room full of people-hopefully he learns from this and dosent disappear from AZ.

This is neither good or bad, but it was a lot like watching a league match.

Just based on what I saw, I'd say Cubc played like a weak APA 7 and OMGWTF played like a middle APA 6. However, with rare exception, I thought OMGWTF's break was just about A player caliber even though she wasn't squatting the cueball. She was lucky she didn't scratch more.

I was surprised that the 7 counted on the break when it was rack your own. I thought this was a major advantage to OMGWTF.

Not a dig on anyone, but judging by the blown safties, it seemed that neither player was as prepared as they could have been when it came to the speed of the table. Maybe under the circumstances, there wasn't an opportunity, but with those other tables around, I'm not sure why there wasn't a chance to get comfortable with the speed of the cloth before the match rather than during it.

It took a lot of guts by both players to do this and my hats off to both of them. :D

I didn't get to watch much of the match. Was there any agreement on the rack your own arrangements? I know when we used to play "rack your own", the opponent got to place the balls, and then you were allowed to snug them up. Was she putting the money ball (7) behind the 1, or was she putting it up as a wing ball or behind the 9 ball? If so, that's a tainted win.

That's a good question. I couldn't tell. Maybe someone at the match could answer that more certainly than I could.

It was behind the one, on the same side she broke from. Got a lot of action out of the 7 actually, made I think 5 of them and one 9.
