Which Shane ? I thought Shane was playing Johnny next ...

Never mind, apparently Johnny beat Shane, and Shane is one of 8 left after having beaten Jose. Sigh, it's tough to read the brackets when they aren't updated:rolleyes: Thanks for the updates in the thread.

It is right now 3:30 a.m., Eastern Standard Time.

Can somebody please post the names of the remaining players in the tournament who will show up for Sunday's semi-finals and finals?

Thanks.

JAM

I had to actually search on the Main Page for the word "Reno" to find the tournament brackets.

It's Mark and Johnny in the winner's side, with Shane and the Canadian guy whose name I forget Montel Edwin or Edwin Montel on the B side.

Four men left standing.

Here comes Shane, roaring back!

JAM,

Over on the 1-loss side we've got the reigning US Open Champion SVB fighting hard for a rematch against the Player of the Decade, Johnny Archer, and he is out for vengeance. But first, he will have to get thru the always tough, Edwin Montel, Hailing from America's little brother up north.

On the winners side we have an interesting matchup between The Scorpion Johnny Archer, player of the decade in the 90's, going up against The Christian Crusader Mark Tadd, who barely played in the 90's. Johnny Archer seems to be finding his stroke as he won 3 consecutive early round matches without losing a single game. But he might have his hands full because his opponent will be a mission, and we ain't taking no missionary trip to a jungle, to reclaim the glory of his younger days.

Can Johnny withstand the pressure and distraction of Mark constantly proselytizing during the match? Can Mark stay focused as Johnny picks the lint off the table and off the lady in row 3? Tune in today at 11am to see who will be king of the Biggest Little City in the World, RENO, NV!

I'd also like to give a congrats to Kings Santy for placing 8-12th in the Tournament. He hails from Boise, ID and is one very cool dude. Great finish!

LOL! :D Shane, of course, is in dead punch stroke right now, but he better not take the Canadian too lightly. He's a scrapper from a long way back and can get there.

Johnny Archer is probably more motivated than ever to win, win, win right now. Pool expenses can get quite heavy on your own dime.

Mark Tadd would be the dark horse of this race. As he's been away from the tournament circuit for spell, it looks as if he just might be on the comeback trail. ;)

These matches gonna be streamed live somewhere?

I got an e-mail saying that otbntv.com was going to show the finals live. But I can't guarantee that will happen.

Just went on to that website and they had a lot of good footage from yesterday's matches. Also many good interviews as well. Not bad at all. I hope they do show the finals today, and Mark is in it!

Go Edwin.Sorry, have to go with our home town hero. You guys have heard me say this before, but Edwin is the best canadian we have right now and loves coming from the trenches on the "one loss side".Contrats to Tyler for a good showing as well.

I like all four of these guys but for sentimental (and financial) reasons I have to pull for Mark.

GO TADD!!!

Hmmm.. You don't think Horsfall has the edge over Montal? And doesn't Potier (when he plays) have the edge over Horsfall?

I dunno. I haven't really kept up with those crazy Canucks the last few years. Do you know what John Horsfall has been doing with himself?

Seems like Montal is right there or close to it in every tournament he plays in. Met him at the Hard Times "Spring Fling". Nice guy & right there in that one too. John

Wow.. how cool that OTBn TV did all this. All the interviews and photo gallery is a nice touch too for everyone who can't make it. Big kudos to everyone behind that effort. Be great to see the Reno Open continue and grow to draw a bigger crowd.
