I've recently been playing a lot 15 Ball (not rotation) and it's been a lot of fun.

If I'm not mistaken a certain Professional who has been posting on here, mentioned that he could beat the 15 Ball ghost (not the Rotation ghost I don't think) if he could remove 2 balls of his choice after the break. After messing around and playing with all 15 balls for a bit, I'm wondering if this would even be harder than beating the regular 10 Ball Ghost?

I think having the ability to remove 2 clusters would make this easier than beating the 10 Ball Ghost.

What do you think?

Are you yourself trying to beat the 15ball ghost in rotation ? Or randomly ?

Thought you meant 15 ball rotation ghost. Might want to change the headline, it´s 10 ball if not imo.

I play them in rotation. I can run a rack or two every now and then but of course I can't actually beat the 15 ball ghost. I'm not sure anybody can?

I guess I'm not really playing the 15 ball ghost so much as I just play 15 ball. I play them in rotation and finish off the rack regardless of whether or not I miss.

I would say there about playing the same or close to it. If you average 1 on the break in 10 ball you still probably have at least one cluster to deal with...unless you are SVB.

If you average 1 on the break in 15 ball and take 2 balls off after the break your playing 12-ball probably w/o any clusters. Johnnyt

Then 15ball rotation is harder than 10ball even if you took off two balls and try to run 13ball I think it will be harder than 10ball but I could be wrong.

Interesting idea.

In 15 ball there will be more clusters, but by removing two balls and starting with BIH you basically can deal with three of them.

10b obviously fewer clusters, BIH lets you deal with one of them.

I'm gonna say 10b is still easier. RARELY do you have more than 1 cluster if you break nicely in 10 ball. You frequently have a whole rack with 0 clusters.

So it's basically 0 clusters, 13 balls vs. 0 clusters, 10 balls.

I don't think BIH necessarily lets you deal with a cluster. Many times you can't break open the cluster off of the one ball. Actually you have to be pretty lucky to be able to do so.

What I've found is with the 15 ball rack, if you smash it pretty good, it's pretty easy to make a couple balls....leaving 13 quite often. Then if you can remove 2 more balls, you will be down to 11 with usually no clusters. Maybe 12 if you only pocket 1 ball.

I guess with 10 ball if you break them right you should be able to figure out how to spread them without many clusters, sort of like how Efren did in the POV video. Still though, you are then running 10 every time. If you smash them you may end up with some clusters.

I don't know. I actually think it's pretty close.

It's pretty much 11 or 12 with NEVER a cluster vs. 10 with a possibility of a cluster. I don't like clusters!

I suppose if you know what you are doing with the break than 10 Ball is probably easier. Oh wait....that's what you said. How do I delete this???

If you mean 15 ball rotation vs 10 ball, well then of course 15 ball will be more difficult. Even with removing 2 balls, you are comparing 13 ball rotation to 10 ball rotation.

If you mean 15 balls run in any order vs 10 ball, well then 10 ball is more difficult.

The hopkins q skill challenge is a good practice routine. Break from the headspot, run balls in any order until the last 5, which must be run in rotation.

You have to shoot either in rotation. I thought the only question was whether or not you are playing Rotation (going to 61 points) or playing 15 ball, where you have to shoot them all. I'm talking about shooting all the balls.

Hmmmm....I think playing the rotation ghost (to 61 points) where you can remove 2 balls after the break would be easier than playing the 10 ball ghost.

Rodney Morris apparently just recently beat the 15 ball rotation ghost 11-9. Essentially what you are saying is this: Is it easier to beat the 13 ball ghost or the 10 ball ghost, if the 13 ball ghost is likely to have less clusters. The answer is...I'm not sure. I think it might be close. I think 10 ball ghost with magic rack is going to end up being easier. Sometimes with a 15 ball rack, removing 2 balls doesn't alleviate all the clusters. I'm going to guess with very little data that the 10 ball ghost would still be easier.
