i had no idea this was ever going to be put online, we did it just messing around, it was late, i went up to my room to change my shirt and fix my hair, i damn near forgot my cue & case in the room, if you been to the Derby you know how far the TV table is from the rooms.

Mark Thwaites : “What’s in the Case”

I was taking some pics of a cue and case I’m planing to sell, and thought I would do my own “What’s in the Case”.
It’s not a video, but gives a really good look at what I carry around when I go to a major event or league.

More Pics: http://www.thwaites.info/gear/mark-thwaites-whats-in-the-case/

Case:
John Barton Cognac Leather Butterfly 4×8 Custom Case which holds all my gear.
Tied to the top of the case, I have a black “Thwaites” brewery towel and mementos from past tournaments, such as VNEA, BCA, DCC, etc…
I have a green “Thwaites” brewery towel, I use to wipe my cues down and act as a protector at the jp end of the case.

Top Pouch:
My business cards.

Middle Pouch:
Lip balm, chalk, and space of my jps when removed.

Long Pouch:
Plastic case which holds some chalk, a money purse for quarter/tokens, cue cleaning pads in a zip lock bag,
and a black US Amateur billfold and brown suede zipper case.

The black US Amateur billfold has some Triangle and Everest tips, a entry card from the 3rd USBTC event,
which was black in the 90′s, a couple cue/case business cards, Mike Sigel cleaning papers, and a Lucky 11 menu card used to burnish tips.

The brown suede zipper case has a Sharpie for autographs, Ozone talc bag, tin of spots, a flat and cylinder tapper, a moose head bridge, rasp, and leather burnisher.

Cues:
Lomax Ebony Jump Cue
Predator BK3 Break Cue with a BK3 Break Shaft and a BK2 Break Shaft with a Samsara tip for BCA events
Rauenzahn Flame Full Splice 4-Point Hoppe Custom Cue with two Predator 314-2 Shafts
Dufferin Sneaky Pete Cue for obtaining Professional Pool Players Autographs

I still keep tellin' em, leave some identification JIC. Literally.

I keep in my case a set of brass knuckles.
A switchblade knife.
A lead filled police sap.
Fox Labs pepper spray.
3 M-80s
A loaded spare clip for the pistol.
A bad of weed and papers.
A shot clock.
Flea and Tick repellent.
Mom's phone number in case I need bail money.
A pair of loaded dice.
Worm medicine.
A slim jim for unlocking cars.
Some counterfeit $10 bills.
Batteries for the trail camera in the ladies room.
Two banjo CDs.
Earl's Book of Pool Etiquette.
Condoms, size extra large.
Lice shampoo.
Pint flask of White Lightnin'.
Fiberglass cleaner for cue shaft.
Arturo Fuente cigars.
Beano gas reducer.
Used toothpicks.
Blue chalk.
Scruggs cue.
314/2 shaft.

Thats awesome^^^

I have what I consider a very budget oriented setup. Just the essentials to be able to play pool anywhere I go.

J&J 2x4 case, very used and handed down by my mentor.
Nick Varner playing cue/shaft with kamui cle. black super soft.
Tadpole jump cue.
A three piece bridge stick thing, its pretty nifty.
A weird jump bridge looking thing, never used it was a gift.
"Shaft slicker".
Cutec bowtie too tool.
Worn out glove.
Pocket Chalker (first purchase pool related, even before a cue)
A few spare cubes of Masters blue.
Some random break and run pins from my league this session.

Not pictured is the usual Kershaw assist open pocket knife, since most pool rooms here aren't Conceal Carry friendly.

EDIT: Sorry if the picture is enormous, I still haven't mastered photobucket yet.

Don't have any pictures at the moment, but I carry a big bag of crap that has everything in it from cue balls to a screw driver. You don't want to see what's in my bag, trust me. It is a pain in the ass to find what I may need in it, but it is in there somewhere.

My usual case that I carry is a black leather 2X4 that is filled:

1 - 1950's Titlist converted by Mike Pancerny in Detroit with one of his shafts and a Predator FAT 314-2 shaft that he made for it. My main playing cue.

2 - "THE" McDermott RS-11 cue that C. J. Wiley used to beat Earl Strickland in the finals of the Million Dollar Challenge tournament where Earl ran 11 straight racks of 9-ball to win the million dollar bonus in April 1996. I have the original shaft and a Meucci PRO shaft that came with it.

3 - Cheap Cuetec cue with a White Diamond tip that I use for breaking.

4 - Adam Japan Hall of Fame cue (Balabushka replica without any signature or markings)

This is the best one so far, the loaded dice was a really good one that got me.
