If this is about racking, then it's all irrelevant to Mosconi, as Matchroom events have neutral rackers.
Mike and Jayson are both great players and they are both a bit hotheaded. That said, however, their rivalry goes back at least five years on the Joss Tour, where they dominated, often finding each other in event finals. Mike surely had the best of the rivalry until the beginning of 2015, but since then, Jayson has clearly been the Joss Tour's best player. For those who attend Joss events, including me, watching these two getting ill-tempered with each other is nothing new, but the fact remains that you often see them chatting and hanging out together at Joss events.
Let's not bash Jayson too hard here, either. No doubt, Mike earned his wrath, but Jayson knows better than to assault a fellow professional and is, in my opinion, just blowing off steam here.
As for Mosconi selection, both Jayson and Mike have earned the right to represent their teams based on criteria established and published on the Matchroom pool website a the beginning of the year. Each has spent tens of thousands travelling around to earn their Mosconi Ranking points. If either is excluded on a technicality, I will help to finance any lawsuit they file on the matter.
Finally, I'll add that, although he didn't play his best at the last Mosconi, Mike conducted himself with great professionalism and was courteous to his teammates and opponents. If you don't think so, you weren't there.
