What's the best cue you've ever shot with?

Read the thread from the start

Question... What is best cue?

The vast majority of the answers are "my .........."

Key word being MY

Had two that I loved over the years. 1989 Paul Mottey I bought off of Gary "Bushwhacker" Nolan ( I gave it to my son and he won't give it back..:(...and what I use now....a Black Boar, 1997 more or less. Only 5 of this model made. Sister cue was owned by Bustamante.

Right now I'm torn between my Bob Frey and my Dave Bollman.

The shocker is that out of all the cues that I own Phillippi, McDaniel, etc. It's my old $120 McDermott Desert Storm cue that I miss the most! That was the best feeling cue that I've ever had. If I could kick myself in the nads I would, for selling it! In fact I'm going to give it a serious try!

Lambros makes the best hitting cue I ever played with. Play of a cue is subjective (i.e. someone said "Cuetec" in this thread). However, for me, nothing hits as rock-solid as my Lambros.

They play so well, I can't see myself ever changing.

My Schon Stl-9 with a 314-2, can't get used to other now that I've played with mine for over 5 years. Apparently, Pagulayan agrees. He might have switched to a Mezz now that he has a line with them...

The best hitting cue i've ever had the pleasure of playing with is the Alex Brick owned by T-town Timmy Heath. I don't know how that kid misses anything, the damn cue almost makes them for you.

I have been fortunate enough to have some pretty sweet players..all I would still have if my life hadn't have gone all kinds of sideways. But I am very, very, very happy with my full splice Josey. :yeah: Does everything I ask of it, and I don't think one second about it while it's in my hands...just an extension of my arm.

An old man I had gotten to know summers ago gave me a cue used by Johnny Archer. It's a Huebler sneak with black and gray linen wrap. I moved to Carolina after spending the summer playing 3$ a game with him. He won one set the entire summer and was ecstatic. 40$ 50$ was a lot of money to a kid and I didn't have a cue so he offered it when I told him I was leaving. I found out later what he was worth about 30 millian and only wanted to play pool after his wife passed away. I guess they played pool together. He died soon after. It was one of the best hitting cues I played with.

Whoever stole that cue, please read my location.

It's tough to beat any of my Scruggs'. Especially my Scruggs sneaky petes. Those things just play lights out. Simple but perfect.

Played with Leo Vig's 8 point Black Boar with the ferrulless shafts and those play lights out. Amazing cue. If I could afford one, that would be my everyday shooter no doubt.

Best hitting cue...

I've shot with a friend of mine's Huebler custom ivory heart The leather wrap feels like silk and the way it shoots... wow...

Of the one's I own:
The Chester Krick I just got 3 months ago is a HIGH favorite... smmoth and just seems to make balls, great action.

Now, if you like the stiff high energy hit, my Dieckman is the ticket.... that cue ball travels unbelievably and precise. wow.

Some guy named Gus.

Nothing plays like it.

Ken

I couldn't have said it any better.
I gotten the pleasure to hit A LOT of different cue. For me it's a old Gus then a Hereck with a piloted ivory joint. There just hasn't been anything quiet like than those two.
