Iv'e played with moori med. For years , but got tired of miscues and mushrooming. Switched to kamui med. Soft and liked them alot . But heard so much about wizards so i ordered some . Just didnt get them yet to try. After i get them i will install one on a shaft and give it a try. Only way you can decide what you like is to try it for yourself. What i might like you may hate. It goes with every tip on the market !!<<<<----<<<<<<<
I'm not one of the more experienced dudes on here but my 2 cents anyway is..
I use a sniper and have been extremely satisfied with it.
I had a Le pro before it and all I gotta say is to hell with those peices of sh*t... lol but that's just my opinion.
Le pro is french for another thing.. bah.

A question for those that have used a sniper and think the wizard is better...explain why please.

I love the Talisman tips too (been using them for years)...but I can play the same with any tip!

I've pretty much have tried most of the tips out there and and think most of them are ok and it boils down to personal preference. I tried the Sniper medium about two years ago and loved it.
Recently I tried a couple of other different tips but now I'm back to the Sniper. What I like the most from the Sniper is the consistency. I think you've made a good choice.
ive seen several posts about snipers being consistent.i dont know what you mean by that, probably that they dont mushroom and hold their shape and chalk well that is true but i find them inconsistent hardness wise.they do get harder over the time and quite quick if you hit the balls a bit harder or just play allot.i just didnt care for that in snipers otherwise its a great tip.if you want consistency imo its the hard tips i switched couple of months ago to Moori Q and will probably never play with a softer tip again.i will however try Kamui H and Wizard H

the best ever are the screw on tips. second to that would have to be the one that sleeves over the old tip... 
i like le pro and everest, but havent experimented much, dont plan to either... used le pro for almost 20 years, I like to smash them first before i put them on so they wont really mushroom much.

Moori's, every time someone tries to compare this tip or that tip, people say how does it feel compared to a moori, I prefer the moori quick (hard). Medium moori's are the most used tip, I sell 4 m.moori's to 1 of anything else, There just is no substitute.
Well Med. wizards come close. And if you have an old 12 layer med instroke tip, you may have the best tip in the world.

It's all personal preference. I've tried most of em' over the years and went back to using a triangle tip. Been playing with it for a few years now and have no complaints. Go with what you like and don't believe the hype.
Wow. i figured you for an anti layered tip kind of guy. a lot of people i talk to shy away form talisman tips because of the flaws they used to have. i've only had 1 delaminate on me and i've installed about 8 (by hand)
I have previously tried Triangle, Elkmaster, LePro, Moori Talisman, Sniper and Everest. I'm currently using Mueller's Dudley (milk dud) and loving it. For the $$ you really owe it to yourself to at least try one of these. They hold chalk like a soft tip, but play like a medium-hard and hold their shape. I'm a fan. :clapping:
Actually, I believe that chalk-adhesion is more a question of the chalk's curvature.
The inner shape of a new piece of chalk does not really fit to my dime-shaped tips, so I have to use the piece several times. When a piece of chalk has settled in, one back-and-forth-twist of the chalk is enough to put a decent layer of chalk on my tip. I use Talismans, but at least in this respect, a LePro seems to be just as fine.

Sam...Nope, I've used layered tips for years now. I like Lepros, Triangles, Triumph, Elkmaster and the old Chandivert tips too. I've shot with Mooris, Talismans, Kamuis, and a few others. They're all good. I have had Talisman tips last for 2-3 years, with no delamination. Of course I don't screw with my tips...no picking, tapping, sanding etc....just good chalk.

I switched from Moori S to Everest.
I read about milk duds and made some of my own. I put them in a vise at home and squeezed it down. They came out pretty good and certainly harder that the original. Observation: The harder you press the harder the tip comes out. So, there is no standardized way to make these tips....but for the money, some of them may be great.
Switch reels: Tiger products in Burbank uses a hydraulic press and measures the pressure for each tip while vacuming out air pressure bubbles (Vaculam). So the resulting layered tips are "consistent" from one to the other. I happen to know this cause I went there and watched. Tip and installation is pricey becaue labor, insurance, rent, taxes etc. are higher in Burbank than in Viet Nam.
The Everest has a "firm" feel over the Moori S but I like it and the full guarantee from a manuf that is close by, player friendly, and really knows leather has sold me.
