What's the biggest package you've ever run?

i think if a top pro used a magic rack for 9 ball you could easily see 20, ill bet i could run 10 without ever making a hard shot

if you had me shooting your position lately, you would change you tune,LOL!
It seems all shots are hard shots!

9 ball: Ran 6 racks on a 9ft Gandy about 20 years ago
8 ball: 3 consecutive B&R on a barbox
14.1: 58 in a game/63 in practice The 63 was on a Gandy with very tight pockets.

5 in a row on a bb in practice 9b 5 in a row in competition that was race to 5 touny, also playing 9b and 136 shooting any ball (full racks) never kept up with 8ball but a couple quite often,All I play on is a bb these days

9 ball-3 pack on 9 foot

8 ball-Finals of a weekly BB 8 ball tourney, My opponent wins the lag, breaks makes a few balls, misses and I run the set out. It was a race to 5, I don't know if I should classify that as a 4 or 5 pack but either way it was awesome!!

8-Ball : 6 Racks
10-Ball : 4 Racks,but i never play that game
9-Ball : 10 Racks
14.1 : 141

Almost good advise ...

I think you are just being honest. Most these cats run six packs all the time. Just ask em lol

A pretty good player told me when I was coming up that "Nothing queers your action more than breaking and runnig out rack after rack ..."
I thought it was just funny how serious he was when he said it, until now.
Perhaps, maybe nothing more than talking or posting about it.

training and competition are 2 different things for sure :-)
Sure the training shows you what you could be able to do. But unfortunatley many are not serious with about themselves :p
In competition the pockets gettin smaller....and the balls gettin bigger...i swear, lol^^

And the good players doing their best job in competition...

4 pack practicing playing the ghost 3 pack gambling 7 pack playing barbox 9 ball just goofing around

I ran 4 rack of 9 ball on a tight table
3 racks on the buckets 9 ball
5 racks 8 ball for the cash on e super big pockets .
4 rack of 8 ball on a tight pocket
I tune in better on the tight tables..

6 pack

My highest is a 6 pack in 9 ball on a gold crown 1. 2 years ago while playing a weaker player friend of mine spotting the 7+8 in a race to 7 for $10. It was at a time when I was practicing at least 15+ hours a week. I haven't run anything over 4 racks since. Maybe I've peaked?

I can't play my best cold or without having practiced several hours a week on my home table. Most players underestimat the value of varied practice, playing different games and most of all working on your weaknesses until they become strengths. When I'm not playing my best and not putting in practice time I figure I don't deserve to win.

I was playing 9 ball with Danny Tater in Columbus Ohio at Shamoos Bar in the 80's on a bar box with the big cue ball. He had busted me 2 days in a row on his table, he played great. The last day we (me and Woody Woods from Beckley West Virginia) had bought 10 lottery tickets, 178 boxed and hit for $830.00. Then I played Howard Vickery and Kenny McKoy on 9 foot Gold Crowns and I beat both of them for $300.00 sets. We took the $1400.00 and went back to Tater and started betting $170.00 a game and got up to $300.00 a game on the rail. After a few hours back and forth I hit him with 13 and busted the joint.

TABLE: 9 foot Tight Azz Diamond Pro Cut table.
GAME: 9 Ball
PACKAGE: 9 in a row.
DATE: I can't remember exactly which year but it was probably about 7 years ago.
VENUE: Playing the Ghost.
This was under some very humid conditions too, I might add. It had been raining for a couple of hours and the tables had obsorbed much of the moisture from the outside rain. If it hadn't been for my glove I don't think I could have even gotten the cue through my hands even with powder. I can also add that the nine shots were not gimmee shots either. Some of them were really tough ones. Boy, was the Ghost ever pissed! I came out of the gate so strong he quit.

OK, before this goes too far, I want everyone to read the fine print in the last paragraph CAREFULLY. I was attempting some SmorgasBored humor. :embarrassed2:;)

Thanks for the PMs on the 9 pack but I had to fess up once more.

Thanks for the laughs Doug. You were the best.

If i read all those big numbers..........i m thinking to start with another game.....-- the USA should start with 50 different Mosconi-Cup Teams- and they could never loose!
