Please diagram it on the WEI table.

By the way, it's been such a long time....can someone explain to me how to use the WEI table again?

hey

the best shot I have seen, was Mike Massey launching the cueball off the table and about 6 more feet into an empty cowboy boot

if i can figure out how to use the diagram i will.. i got called a "f*cking nightmare" afterwards haha

Rafael Martinez was frozen to the end rail straight in the corner with the object ball a little past the side pocket. He needed to draw for shape, if he rolled forward at all, he was hooked. but being frozen to the rail, draw seemed like it was impossible. He jacked up like a full masse and fired the ball in and got the cue ball to draw back a little. He didn't get good shape on the next ball, but I have never seen anybody make a shot with full masse elevation and the object ball out in the middle of the table besides that shot. It was pretty sick. I should also mention that this was in the hot seat match of a sunday tournament at Hardtimes on the tournament side.

Buddy's 5 rail kick

I have plenty of great ones that I've seen, but as for one of the greatst shots ever, and it happened to be in the finals of the US OPEN in 1991 against Dennis Hatch. D.H. played a pocket hook (titty hook)safe in the corner pocket. With 8 balls scattered all over it did not look like B.H. had any way to get to the 1 ball, but did he ever come with one of the great shots I ever saw, making the cue ball bend after contacting the second rail to avoid hitting a ball going toward the side pocket, and going 3 more rails to make a legal hit. If you ever get to see that one ypu will never forget it. If it was not on tape I would never had beleived it had someone told me. It was on a Accu-stats vhs.

Funny, the top 5 greatest shot's I've ever seen, Rafael was 2nd on the list. I can't describe it in text, but once I figure out how to use the WEI table I'll post it.

That Efren shot was a great hit but a lucky pot. He knew it, Earl knew it, and it was still great.

Cue ball was near the bottom left corner pocket, OB was three inches away from the Top Left corner pocket, a single bank was not possible, I made an "M" bank shot  and pocketed the 2 !!!

CueTable Help

I don't remember the total lay of the rest of the balls, and I don't even remember what ball he was on, but I was playing Daisuke Hanawa, who at the time was ranked like 4th on the Japan JPBA tour, and I thought I had him. Obviously he could see the ball, but there was no way to pocket it (I thought). I didn't see a bank, and I remember vividly that there weren't many balls left in the run, so most likely I was going to get another look at the table.
He walks up to the table, verifies that the OB is frozen to the rail and double kisses it in.
Now I know that this is a pretty common 1 pocket shot, but none the less, at the time, a shot that I didn't know was possible, and even today can't execute with consistency, so some may question why I would call it the "Greatest Shot I've Ever Seen." My reason for ranking it up there, is simply because it was played against me, with confidence and ease, and most of all, I rank it up there simply because of the mental affect it had on me! As soon as he got down to shoot, I was pretty much gripping my cue and getting out of my chair, and when the ball dropped, it was as if my will to play, and any hope I had of winning withered away!

That Efren shot has to be one of the best I've ever seen ... even he didn't expect it. I think a better question would be what's the best shot you ever came up with ... would be a bit more variation.

I was playing bank the 8 ball against someone who hated to lost and hated to spend money even worse. We were playing 1 game of bank 8 for a round of drinks for our respective tables ... maybe 20 bucks or so.

He "accidentally" scratched with all of his balls on the table, 8 ball was basically still near middle of the rack, surrounded by his balls/his balls blocking any reasonable bank, and the 8 was the only ball I had left ... hence his "accidental" scratch.

I put whitey behind the line, called the corner, squeaked the cue ball bank first near the side pocket and then between his balls, hit the 8 as clean as heck and rolled it into the corner ... and he started crying about how bank first doesn't count. Of course, this is after about 15 games against him previously where bank first counted as long as it was a long cross first and not a short bank ... but suddenly it didn't count, heh.

Even though he was complaining, it was one of the sweetest shots I managed to come up with under pressure. To go from behind the line to side rail by the side pocket, hit the 8 in traffic and roll it cross corner where I called it ... I was happy. :)

Oh man..........Sayinger is a GOD!!!!!!

One of the stickies on the main forum describes how to use the wei table. After seeing Florian and Sayinger, I can't think of any to top them.

I'll second that especially when if comes to Sayinger (nothing agains Kenny) but the shot that has always most impressed me is one that I've seen Sayinger hit a few times..........

all three balls gathered within a square diamond from the corner, and Sayinger jacks up for a full masse'.........strokes the CB and the CB spins backwards and catches short rail, long rail, SR, LR, SR, LR, SR, LR......seemingly FOREVER the spin stays on the CB as it does its back and forth dance before finally hitting the OB to make the legal billiard.

I believe its between 9-12 "rails" this is a for sure as I know its at least 9 but def no more than 12.........FREAKISH SHOT, if i ever make it i'm sure my life will be all downhill after that.

I got to give props to Blackjack for his selection on that full table hook draw that Corey shot quite a few years back.....always has been one of my favs........your straight pool shot is something I've done (more like had no other choice lol) during 14.1 practice, its not the most difficult shot in the world IMOP but it sure as hell is flying by the seat of the pants.........obviously you nor I have ever chosen on purpose to have that break shot lol but its dam pretty thats for sure :) (PS: could you imagine shooting that in a onepocket game? H.S. SCARY! Not that its applicable to the game but the thought brings up fearful emotions lol)

FREAKISH I TELL YOU!!!!

bob jewett

the shot where he puts the ball on the spot, the cue ball in the jaws of the right corner, and cuts the ball into the left corner pocket on the same end of the table.
could someone post the link to the video please.
