Not much, man...how you doing? Anymore road trips? The trip to AZ had to be good for a few chuckles. I'd sure loved to have seen the League Shirt Routine you used on Frost!thebighurt said:Hey! Whats up? How is it going? It is still my all time best pool trip just for the laughs alone.

To each their own but just don't act like gamblers are fools.
I'd always played for 20-50 a set but just a while ago a guy that I've known was getting on my friend for quitting after winning his $100 back and he yelled to my friend, "I'll play you for $500"
I commented and he said to me, "I'll play you for $500 and I'll give you the 7!"
I said, "You'll give me the 7?"
he said, "Yeah it's tempting ain't it?"
A room full of league player were silently listening. I said, "I'll take that bet but you have to show me the money first."
He got his money and counted it out and I got mine out of the atm and when I got far enough ahead in the set I offered to take $300 if he quit now and he did.
I'll never forget that feeling of adrenaline and I have been practicing harder than ever and gambling more for $50 sets with other guys and I'm really getting significantly better cause I know if I don't I'm gonna lose $.
My point is gambling is worth it even if you lose if you are serious about improving your game and making a name for yourself.
TATE said:I was shooting pool in Los Angeles and guy in his 30's came up and asked me if I wanted to play. I said sure. He said for what? I thought he seemed like a nice guy and was looking for a social game, so I said how about a race to 9 for $50? This, in my mind, is a cheap, friendly bet, but it's sporting enough and will cover the table time, etc.
Anyway, we get started and he is obviously a good player but he's shaking like a leaf. He nervously started talking and said "nobody around here ever plays for this kind of money, so I'm really nervous".
I then got concerned that maybe there was a misunderstanding, so I said "we're playing for $50 a set, right?" thinking maybe he thought it was $50 a game or something.
He says "they play for $5 to $10 a set, so I'm not used to playing for $50".
So you never know. He considered that real gambling. It's all relative.

This is an open invitation to anyone who wants to play some 9-ball or 8-ball. If we play 1-hole, I need 9 on the way to 10 and 13-3. If we play straight pool I need 145 race to 150. Believe me, I will bet the farm, cattle, and slaves if anyone wants to try me out.
Edit: I played Fast Larry once for 30 grand but he let me off for a dollar after I won the first game.
