Hey guys,

I have been thinking, What is going to be my 14.1 resolution for 2009.

Which is to stay committed and focussed !

I dont want to go out on a limb and say that i am gonna beat my high run of 119, cause it seems the more i think about running alot of balls makes me shoot to tight.

Would just rather play my patterns correctly and sooner or later the day will come that i topple my run..

Any Thoughts?

Steve

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!!

Mine is to run 50. I have come close now with a few runs in the low 40's but now Im going to try really hard. My amazing girlfriend got me a custom bob frey for christmas to my specs and it should be here in a bout a month. Im looking forward to getting on video hopefully too. VIVA LA VIDEO REVOLUCION.

reduce my simple mistakes. i tend to be more defensive minded than the average bear so sometimes i'll tend to play a safety on the transition ball and leave my oppopent on the far rail if i have any doubt about the break shot. and obviously this tends to reduce the chance that i'll break my high run. but as long as i'm back at the table next shot, with a shot, who cares.

To start playing more often, get back in stroke, and get back to being a 100 ball runner...............I've got my work cut out for me!:scratchhead:

My New Years resolution is to play smarter, take my time before I shoot, figure out the patterns and relax and do it.

My goal is to hit 50.

My goal is to try and double my efforts to create awareness of the game and introduce more players to 14.1.

To run 50 two times.

This year is going away fast and the closest I came was 42. Really, it's not that far off, so I believe I can hit 50 twice this year.

to be more consistant..and plan my end of the rack patterns better and identify the KEY ball and stick to it..if i do that i believe my high run will come..ohh ya..and to STAY FOCUSED!

I want to finally get my 14.1 league up and running. Also, I want to improve my run to 75. My end patterns are weak and any improvement in that area should go a long way to getting higher and more consistent runs.

I'd like to run a 50.. I struggled at the start with my pocketing skills, but they have come a long way in the last 2 months. My high is 23 right now but I know if I start playing better patterns I can hit that 50.

I'd like to put two 150 ball runs back to back. Also maybe visit Chicago, Monmouth and Galesburg where i lived as a youth. I played in Monmouth on the table where Ralph Greenleaf played only then i had to stand on an old milk crate. Such great memories. p.s. I've turned 39 for the 28th time my last birthday. "country"

If you get to Chicago, you could be my guest at the Illinois Billiard Club where you could try to get your runs. We could video it if you wanted. We also have a 5' x 10' table if you wanted to use that.

JIM Sward who posts on AZB lives in Galesburg, is a great guy, and I'm sure he would show you around.

Good luck on your goals.

Dennis,That would be great, i have just over two years before it will be possible. I was born in Chicago in 1942 i remember the building number still 7000 East End Ave Apt.#408. My dad gave me a quarter and i rode the trolley to the theater and watched cowboy movies and 40 Looney Tune cartoons then came back on the trolley with a nickel change. I have a friend, Jeremy Edwards from South Bend IN. who visits Chicago. Maybe we could all get together. I don't know about the two 150 ball runs back to back, but we can have some fun trying.
