I understand your frustration with word useage and meanings evolving or being bastardized, I feel the same way about 'Cali'...I've lived in California 64 years..just finding out that apparently it is known as 'Cali'. Sonofagun.

It's not just the pool community, it's people in general.
They are becoming lazy in their writing and speaking.
—slowly adulterating our language.
'WOOFING' HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH 'WOLFING.'
WHAT THE HELL IS 'WOLFING' ANYWAYS?
They show an affinity for not caring anymore about writing and take what they hear as codified.
As soon as someone provides the correct information, someone gets offended, angry, or upset that another person has trespassed their domain.
This seems to be the culture of our country now as it pertains to language.
I prefer not to participate in all of that and will continue to promote and foster proper language whether I am on THIS site or any other.
