Where Do You Carry Your Cash?

Don't worry I'm not looking to rip you off or put the bite on you. I'm wondering where you guys carry your money? Do you have it in your pocket like a gambler or do you keep it in your wallet like a citizen?

I myself, carry a New York Bankroll (smaller bills on the outside increasing order on the inside) in my left front pocket (I'm right handed).

Thanks

Kevin

Same as you.

I carry just enough to make a mugger or junky happy in one of two small wallets I cary if I get held up. The rest is in a safe place along with credit cards and a 32 Raven.

alright, I'm gonna ask since I've seen a buncha replies that included two places for carrying cash in case they get held up, mugged, rolled, whatever....

how many on here have had money TAKEN from them? Not lost, but by physical threat or threat with a weapon of some sort. ???

The closest I've been to that in my adult life was on a muni golf course. Two BIG kids (17-22ish) walked up to me and a buddy and asked if we had any money to spare. (this is a course that runs alongside a neighborhood that isn't the best in town) We said, "don't think so". The bigger guy (6'2" 250lbs+), said "what if we're not askin'?" My buddy, who is former Airborne said, "well that's different....if you're telling me to give you my money, I might have to break this 7 iron over your BLEEPing head, and shove the broken shaft up your BLEEP!" They walked away mumbling under their breath. Funny thing was, is I had a sandwedge in my hand and was thinking the same thing right before he said it.

Maybe a bit off topic, just noticed a lot of you are prepared for such a situation, so I thought I'd ask.

When I had first started drinking and shooting pool I was in a very bad place and some of the parking was in the woods out back. Three guys "helping me find my car" when I was very drunk were working up to a mugging. Drinks were 90 cents in the place and I handed over a pocket full of nickels keeping my cash. A few weeks later I found one of the guys alone in a nearby honky-tonk and he made the same mistake I did walking around the dark side of the building. I doubt he even had a clue who hit him. Dribbling his head against a concrete wall for awhile probably didn't help his memory any.

On the other hand, I know people that have been mugged multiple times in fairly decent areas of New Orleans. One guy from Albuquerque was mugged twice in four years living in the Garden District. He didn't think that was too bad and he said both times were his fault, once he was carrying a briefcase and once he walked through a dark area a few feet wide!

Better to be prepared and not need to be than to need to be even once and be unprepared.

zero attempts at getting mugged, thank God.

I'm just glad my friend was with me. I grew up in a bad part of town, and wouldn't have made the statement he did - I woulda just swung. Totally stupid considering I mighta had 30 bucks or so on me, but I bet I would of.

I was stabbed when I was 12 over a bike (mine) I refused to get off of when confronted. Kept the bike (a concerned neighbor came out of their house just in time), but still have a pretty scar from it....stupid Montgomery Ward bike too (read: nothing special - cheapy)...lol

Chris

I do also, especially after watching a sailor lose his billfold in Olongapo by cutting his backpocket to have the billfold just drop out back in the day.

If I have quite a bit of money on me, I keep a 'safe' roll, and a playing roll too.

when I was 16 I played at a bowling alley where they had 4 GC's. I played this guy who was a bad ass biker. I had a far better game and won @ $40 in a ring game. I had a sneaking suspicion this wouldn't set well with him, so I shoved @ $30 of it in my underwear

Sure nuff, as I was still inside, walking towards the exit - down the length of the alleys, he pulled a gun on me and said something like
"you know we were only playing for fun, so give me my money back!" I gave a small bit of consternation before handing him a handful of crumpled ones. He said without really counting it "You got more than that!". I said uh uh, and pulled my pockets inside out. "Maybe the other guy has it?" He left.

When I was 14, I had a motor scooter. One day in a park, a local gang of young toughs surrounded me and took my scooter. They rode it around for an hour or so, finally leaving it laying on the ground in another section of the park. The leader of this pack was a big fat kid who didn't like me. He also wrote crap all over my car when I was 16.

Fast forward 40 years to my high school reunion and who do I run into, but Fatso, now a respectable businessman in Dayton. He almost fell over himself being nice to me and the girl with me, buying us drinks and being so so friendly. He didn't look so tough anymore and maybe I did to him. I felt like confronting him on what he did to me as a kid, but I just let it go. I think he could feel it coming too. I never said a word even though I felt like slapping him. He won us over with kindness that day.

This is the way I roll!

If I forget my fanny pack, I carry my cash in my front pocket. No wallet!

I can confirm this, he also had a few (4-5?) asian ninja women with him for protection.

I am NOT even kidding.

I carry cash in one of my front pockets, small bills to big bills. Usually have enough to cover if someone is looking for a game and I like my end of it. Nothing worse then going to grab cash and the guy changes his mind.

I carry RF small bills to large ones wraped around my credit cards and license and health cards in a money clip, that sits behind my over and under Derringer.

I keep mine in my left pocket with high to low in bills folded in half. I'm too clumsy to keep cash in my wallet. It stays in my back right pocket and I'm left handed. I dont gamble though so I dont have to worry about the shank:grin-square:
