Which are your favourite quotes from players?

A disturbing but very famous quote came from Mosconi on the subject of Irving Crane who, by Mosconi standards, was very conservative at the table.

Mosconi offered "Crane wouldn't shoot any shot his grandmother couldn't make."

That is the same Mosconi who said if he played his grandmother he would want to beat her 150 to -15.

So a game was starting between two players. One of them was screwing together his break cue. The other one looked at him doing that, and said: "oh, you won't be needing that.".

And he didn't.

One pocket game in Texas many years ago, Strawberry makes his game ball, but the ball splits, and part of the ball stays on the table…..one guy asks “Whaddya do here?” U J Puckett, who is betting on the other guy, sez “Seems to me ,Straw, that you still need almost half a ball.”

Bugs used to come through a lot, and there was a great ole school black bank pool player who would say "that'll get butter from a duck" anytime Bugs or someone else made a seemingly impossible bank.

Back in the 90's, Hard Times Bellflower, Ca. Keith McCready is playing a strong player some 9 ball, race to 9. Lot's of people watching.
Keith starts out hot, not missing nothing, within minutes he's up 6-0. He gets ready to break, looks over at his opponent and says, "Hey so and so, looks like it's going to be an early shower for you tonight !" Crowd starts laughing.
