Which wrap?

I would never choose linen as a wrap as I don't really like the feel. That being said, I'm not a huge fan of the lizard texture either. I like the look & feel of what you have on there now. I think the most texture I would go with leather is shark skin.

I am leaning toward the white linen but my only concern is the ring above the wrap. Will it kinda get lost due to the white wrap?

Smooth brown all the way for me on this one. Would tie in with the collars, without taking over the cue. As far as which type of leather, see if you can find kidskin or kangaroo if you like smooth. Spanish bull is just as soft, but has a texture to it. To be honest, you really should get it done at a show/expo so you can see/feel the material first.

White linen with single brown spec would be my other choice as well,
and to answer your question, I do not believe the ring gets "lost",
rather I think it gets amplified as you have brown between the ring
and the wrap.

I think a smooth black leather wrap would look sweet too. I'm not a fan of linen, so I'd go with leather no matter what

I searched in vain to score some Cortland Linen #12 for some cues I had made and settled for #9.
However, during my search I came across another rare find of Cortland I had never seen before.
So naturally I jumped on it because it was the read deal and I've hung onto mostly out of nostalgia.
In case other readers haven't seen white w/ brown speck Cortland Linen, it looks like this.

Are you nuts?
you are a player, save that money and bet it on the game

changes of wrap is for collectors and such

besides that it looks good now
never fix what ain't broke

or as buddy says
don't shoot shape if you already have shape

If you love the feel of the cue I would not change anything!!! I have seen a wrap change alter the feel of a cue more than once over the years. Beautiful cue!!!

If you go with linen, maybe Black with Walnut spec. I had a Palmer I had it put on and liked it

I beg to disagree with others......change the wrap if you do not care for it........this is your player.
The value isn't going to get dinged if you have a top tier cue-maker replace the wrap.

This is a Mottey cue and it is not a rare, 1 of 1 type cue but it's a handsome Mottey nonetheless.
Paul's cues do not lose value like with other cue-makers and so make this cue the way you want.

You'll enjoy playing with your cue even more and so why not change the wrap that's done all the time.
You are never going to retire from selling this type cue so own it and enjoy it the way you'd like it to be.

I agree. If you prefer something different, find something that compliments the cue nicely, and has the feel that you prefer. There are any number of ways to go.
Good luck.
