Who are the greatest players who you have ever seen, who had an ugly looking stroke?

In your opinion, who are the greatest players that you have ever seen (either known, or unknown to most) who had an ugly (horrible) looking stroke, in your opinion?

I do not know about the known pro's (of the present, and the past), because I can't think of any with a really bad looking stroke, but I have seen some pretty strong players over the years, who had a stroke so bad that it was hard to watch (in my opinion).

I never understood how a player with such a horrible looking stroke, could play really good and consistent.

Hopefully I have not asked this question (that just came to mind) in the past.

Thanks for any thoughts or info about players who you have seen, who played really good and consistent, who you thought had a really horrible looking stroke.

Understand Allen's short poke stroke was developed because of limited space where he practiced as a kid.

And, he won more tournaments, including US Open Straight, than any of you.

All the best,
WW

I never was too fond of Mosconi's.
However, in all fairness, it may have not been his stroke so much as his side-arm approach to the shot. :)

Busty looks like he'll miss the cue ball sometimes.
Dick Lane looks like he'll drop the cue sometimes.
Nick Varner looks like he's trying to hit a spectator on his backstroke sometimes.

ALL are great players

Hands down, Keith McCready. However, I've learned much and adopted a few elements of said scholar for my own stroke... which might make the list if any of you ninjas actually know me.

I'm sitting here watching Django Bustamante play semifinals in the Cole Dickson tournament streaming via Daniel Busch and POV Pool. Busti's stroke has more moving parts than a 70 year old former competitive eating world champion holding a sharpei wrinkle dog in their arms while falling down a flight of stairs. But it's POETRY!
