www.theactionreport.com has all the details.

Broad strokes are 10 ball, race to 100, winner breaks on a 9 ft gold crown over three days.

Justin, don't get discouraged because people don't understand how unique your product is. This is www.theactionreport.com not www.whatithinkmightbefuntowatch.com . This means that we are sweating live gambling matches and the players and money men dictate rules. I promise that whenever I can I will do whateveer I can to keep your sh*t going. The quality is phenomenal and your attitude/view and the commentary are an added bonus. Hopefully we can meet up sometime. Would love to buy you dinner and pick your brain/bullsh*t.

Take care brother.

Home Table Advantage....

Big Dog....... Once again Thank You for putting this one together, can't wait to be there in person to watch it.

I may have a small bias as well....but here's why I like Mika.

Home Table Advantage: I have seen Mika play racks of 10 ball on this very table and describe to me what he is doing with the break to try and make the second ball in the side bring the one ball back towards the top right corner and have another ball go around four rails and have a chance to make in the bottom left corner. I have video footage of him making this same breakshot 3 times in a row.

Magic Rack : Mika is about one step away from owning the company....he swears by that rack. Said breakshot I explained above was using a Magic Rack. Also You Tube " Mika Immonen World 10 Ball" and check out the results with a Magic Rack.

Timing: These guys are both road warriors so I am not sure that the pre match travel will effect them that much. The point where I was nervous about this being held in Mika's back yard is..... the fact of how easy to twist his rubber arm it is to party. The fact that the match doesn't start until 6:30 pm each night....and will last into the wee hours of the morning is reassuring to me that he should be in top form ........except maybe for the first day.....lol.

Anyway it is going to epic and I sincerely hope it is a sell out live crowd as well as a huge online crowd......

IMO I take Mika by 7-15 racks due to the above...... bring in a "new diamond" for the week, and your looking at a 100-99 coin flip IMO.

Also Big Dog...... why Green for the cloth...... Blue is easier on the eyes for watching for hrs on end as well as the balls show up better on the cameras......just a thought.

If Shane gets to running away with it itll be lopsided 100-60 but if Mika stays in and keeps the presure up I think he will win in a closer match 100 to high 80s low 90s.

Amsterdam is an all green cloth room, so they may have requested the new cloth stay green. I agree, blue is much better for this though it shouldn't matter too much.

You guys all coming down?

I bet Shane starts breaking w/o the Magic Rack and if his break is not working he switches to the the Magic Rack. I have a hunch the MR will win it for Mika. Johnnyt

That must be the reason for the cloth....couldn't just use it for the match.....then switch back to green??? Maybe even raffle the Blue match cloth off for some dough on TAR website or AZ Marketplace......just a thought...... Yeah Nathan and I will be down Oct 11-15th then off to the US open for a week or so afterwards..... I like your video series... it had me laughing....... we are getting pretty close to launching our new project soon too. Eric's not going to make it for this one as far as I know....he is busy doing real people work making $400-500 a day...lol

Seeya down there.

Well, Eric is smarter than Nasa and Nintendo combined. I liked him a lot more than you, but I guess you will do... :) HAHAHA

Mika vs. Shane

I think the travel factor is bigger than he thinks. No way can anyone make that long trip and be unaffected the next day. It takes a minimum of two days to unravel from a trip like that. So I like Mika to start strong on day one.
Shane is a young man, but this will take some of his edge off......
I also give more points to the home court and Mika. He always plays well when he is in a comfortable environment. And what could be more comfortable for him than the home court, with all his friends in attendance.
Just look at other sports, "Home court" is huge.
In case you didn't know, he (Mika) is one GREAT pool player!
No question about it.
I see Mika as being more consistent and more prepared in this match-up and for that reason I pick him to win.
I can't argue with this.

I'd like to see the winner of this one go up against Dennis Hatch.
If Dennis is on anyone would have their hands full playing with him.
-----------------

I like Shane in this match and I agree that he'll have a tough match with Mika, but the times i've watched Shane play he just amazes me with the things he can do at his young age. I was at the US Open sitting ring side the year Shane won and the match he played with Ronnie was a classic and i'm quite aware that Mika has won the last 2 US Open titles.

Whoever comes out on top in this match up will have worked hard to win it.

Great analysis, Justin. Should be a match for history. Don't like the getting back from overseas just before the match for Shane, though. Spent 20 years jumping back and forth over the big ponds and one day don't get you back to level. I'll be rooting for Shane regardless.

i think this match is a pickem. Both guys are good friends and I know them both well which gives me a list of reasons they both should win, i cant figure out who will lose, therefore I cant pick a winner. Shane is a stone cold gambler, Mika has homecourt which is big for any pool player, but Mika travels alot so that lessens the home court thing. Shane will chit a brick when he sees NYC.

Too many +/- in this match for me to come up with a line, I dont see it being one sided, JCIN is sees most things like I do in his OP, I'd say 185-190 will wb the game total. Its gonna be close thats the only thing i'm certain about. And it is the biggest TAR event since Shane/Alex, Wish I could be there. But I have to watch my $$$ right now, I love NYC but it costs me a pile everytime I go.

I'd like to see Dennis play the winner a day or two later, that would be one hell of a match too. one hell of a match. Dennis is the real deal times 2, And He can beat Mika or Shane that too would be so close I cant speculate on who wins that match. All 3 are monsters.

Eric is the smartest man in the world. Real talk. I too like him better than Dave but am happy to get a Canadian if a genius can't make it.

As far as the cloth it is hard enough to organize a goat roping like this without explaining to the room owner why he has to pay a mechanic to change the clothe twice in one week on the same table. They just don't think like that.

I already volunteered to be the mechanic for free. What could go wrong?

Out of curiosity I looked it up and it seems most flights from Nicaragua to NYC have one change of plane in them and consist of a total flight time of about 5 hours and 30 minutes plus whatever layover you have between the planes. All trips I saw had less than 8 hour total travel time.

Yeah just depends on what type of inputs you have on your tv. I use an HDMI cable. HDMI is the best. Here are pics of the tv and the port on your laptop:

Doesn't it really depend more on what outputs your computer has? What do you have coming out of your PC? Got a video card with a DVI or HDMI output? Unfortunately all mine has is the regular VGA out :banghead:. You use a converter cable or USB? Thanks.

Just noticed your TV has a PC video input port. That makes things easier.

Nicaragua is on the same side of the pond as NYC. Nicaragua is UTC-6 while NYC is one hour off at UTC-5. It may be a boring day of flying and layover, but it won't be time zone changes like he is coming back from Asia.

Honestly I can't pick it. I think these guys are SO closely matched that the difference might be Shane's gambling experience and experience in these long sets. Then again, a long race to 100 might be just what Mika needs to get loose and REALLY hit a gear in a way that he's never been able to show in those short tournament races.

I'm gonna be in England while this is going down, but you can bet your sweet ass I'm gonna be up all hours of the night watching. If I have huge bags under my eyes during the UFC broadcast you can take full credit for it :)

this is a long set
but they only race to 33 each day.
to me thats not a long day.

Brunswick Gold Crown. New green 860 Simonis on it. Here is a pic of the pockets on the table they are playing on:

As far as the record I dont know with any precision. That last few times I can remember they met towards the end of tournaments Mika has won.

how new is the cloth?
if less than a month they might not miss a ball.
