So who is your best horse.... That doesn't mean who is the best player in the world. Who is the one person, that just about every time they match up they get the cash.......

Shane doesn't book too many losers.

I bet against a Fillipino.......once.

i agree

he gambles smart! works hard for the money! hes had the right people around him lets just say! and you wount find a more stand up guy! no hustlin just "bring the best you got with the most you can get" and thats admirable when it comes to gamblin! no behind the scenes heists or stingers just straight up and go!

I really don't want to brag, but!

Let me see, I ploped own $1,300 to help a player go to the US Open and won $20,000 in 2006. I put in eight hours one time and took home $62,500
I ain't gonna tell ya what I did, but I was betting 40 years.:D
No thieft, no murder, no rape, no plundering and all the evidence went up in smoke.:D
Peace, Purdman:eek:

Efren..............

Corey beat him playing one pocket at the Derby this year. Yeah he was getting weight, but he also got the dough.

Efren playing even, I agree, he has the stone nuts. But who plays him even ?

Not knocking Efren here. IMO he is the best EVER. Just so happened he couldn't outrun the weight on that night. If I would of been able to get to the window they would of got my money too.

That's why they play the game.:D

At that level anybody is capable of winning on a given night. That is why I think the tier below the elite gets way more action. People think they have a better shot, and are more willing to gamble. No body wants to bet serious money against a champion unless they think the weight is just too much for the guy too handle. Where as with a guy like Bartrum or Hennesse or even Chohan, you know it is gambling and definitly will not be a sure thing, but they are somewhat human and can make a mistake every once in awhile.

So I guess the question is : Is the best gambler the guy who rarely loses because he rarely plays or the guy with a little lower winning percentage but is always in action ?

I don't know. I do know there is 1 guy I will bet high with, and 3 or 4 more I bet on when ever the chance arises, no matter who they are playing. Everything else is just fun to sweat.

I ended up winning a small sweat bet on that Deuel/Reyes race. Actually, I would have taken either side for that much -- just for the entertainment value! it's more fun to watch if you have a little riding on it :)

At their level of play, guys like Corey should NOT be getting any weight playing Efren or any top level Filipino, IMHO only.

your post is the reason for side betting!

efren.

i hate to say efren.guys like bartnum, little john macias(probaly in as much action as any human walking the planet),hennessee, these guys like said in an above post are the one's i like to sweat.and svb is getting to be known more and more in the action world.only he's is a little speedy for alot of players.

Its too hard to say because its highly likely for a high stakes gambler to lose his share of mid level dollars bets only to rake in the big honey at the end of the weekend or trip.

The best gamblers in the world know when to lose and when not to.

I seem to remember Evgeny Stalev taking down some big scores a few (6-7) years back. How's he been doing lately?

Didn't I hear on here that Efren can't beat Denis Orculo for the cash? 9 Ball that is, don't know about the other games. Tournament it's a different story though.
