Pga

I blame the referee for picking up the cue stick that was flung onto the table and preventing a foul that would have turned it all around. Hey, you got to blame someone it couldn't have been our players.

The OP probably Also, wants the Chinese to play in the Ryder Cup because we lost for quite a few years, weird thinking.

I am blaming SVB...he went 1-6. Don't sugar coat that, no team is going to win if their best player doesn't bring it. You can lose if your best player plays great but you almost never can win if your very best player plays bad. He's gotta set the tone. He's not playing for free, he's a pro. He should have pressure on him to perform, that's why he is paid. In my opinion that was a complete dereliction of duty and he needs to be sat down. It doesn't matter how good he is when the results don't match the talent. SVB is a phenomenal individual player but this team thing is absolutely not for him.

I'll just go ahead and be clear, USA will almost assuredly lose if SVB is the leader of the team. At best SVB is good for a role player.

In Order;

1. SVB - he just plain sucked.
2. Mark Wilson - for playing him against Daz mutliple times
3. John S. - for dogging lots of balls/position is his doubles match.
4. That annoying wife of Mark cheering at the worst times.
5. Europe - they played okay, but really not that great.

I blame it all on global warming. Why wasn't this a choice in the poll?

I just about gave my first red rep ever.

Leave the wife out of it. It's incredibly rude and in very poor taste.

Personally, I blame itsfroze, one stroke, and the cocobolocowboy for this loss.

I'm blaming you.
Need some fresh blood and you won't even buy your kid a good cue...
....what the hell, you aint that far from Ernie.

What a cheapskate....

The blame clearly lies with Team Europe! They play too good and refuse to fold. If you want to blame someone, blame them.

The Japanese have a saying, "Fix the problem, not the blame." Find out what's fu**ed up and fix it. Nobody gets blamed. We're always after who fu**ed up. Their way is better.

Whose fault was it? Well it sure wasn't Justin Hall's.

The guilty parties were Dechaine and Archer --- for not being there. Why weren't two of America's three best players on this year's team? Oh wait, they weren't chosen. Never mind.

It's nobody's fault, really. The team we sent wasn't in the same league as Team Europe, and rest assured, this Team Europe played at a significantly lower standard than the 2013 European team, on which Immomen and Souquet were both superb, and on which Souquet was undefeated.

On a 2014 team that had little depth and two veteran players on the downsides of their careers, there was great pressure on SVB to put in a big performance, and his disappointing effort probably sealed the team's fate. Still, it's not on Shane, for he gave it his best, and that's all we could ever ask of him. He's a credit to our sport.

We really don't need to assign blame. Best is to say "well played" to Team Europe and move on.

I agree. This is a Team USA problem -- full stop. You can't assign blame to any one single player; and those that do, are very short-sighted.

"If only John Schmidt... if only Shane didn't... if only Justin B. didn't... if only Corey didn't..." yada-yada. Garbage. There's a reason that all players except for Justin Hall suddenly went "full retard" (when they were playing great or ok previously), and it a lot more to do with not staying focused than it did the "practice table" or anything outside of the arena. There's a problem with Team USA, and it's called accountability. Being able to take responsibility for one's own poor performance than blaming it on the match table being exponentially "faster" than the practice table. These are all pro players, not league players.

Anyway, there's always next year, and as another poster mentioned (Tate?), the world will never tire of watching the USA get its *ss kicked.

It's simply:

Europe is at fault if they had not shown up we would of had a fighting chance.
