Looking at this field it could be one of about ten players. Anyone from Archer who i believe won last year to tour director Zuglan who has been playing well this year. I wish i still lived in Albany so i could shoot up the road a bit and watch it live. I lived in Albany for a long time and liked watching Zuglan play straight pool and one pocket at the Golden Cue.
 
Does anyone know if it would be possible to camp somewhere near by as my brother and I are thinking of driving down from Ontario.

there is a camp site just down the road - can't remember the names i saw earlier. you should contact the hotel - they can direct you.

the first matches start at 4 pm i believe. the brackets will be up soon and also put on azbilliards.com home page.

Bumping to the front as this is going on this weekend.

Archer lost 1st round, Parica and Mika got beat 2nd round. Seems like Mika has had a hard time rising to the top for some time now.

Interesting Matchups to watch for;
Shane VB vs Mike Zuglan
Thorsten Hohmann vs John Morra
Louis Ulrich vs Allen Hopkins
Stevie Moore vs Niels Feijen

Dennis Hatch beat Mika 9-2 in the 2nd round, and he will be playing
Dennis Orcullo next. This is the round match I would most like to watch.

Six of my eleven guys are in the same section of the draw. Not good is all I have to say.
 
My vHorse Karen Corr is knockin' the men off left and right. Next on her list is Ronnie "Nothin's funny when Karen Corr's taking my money" Wiseman.

Karen got a nice draw in the charts, compared to some others.

Ronnie is going to be a tough opponent. Karen will have the crowd on her side, applauding after each shot. Ronnie is a veteran, though, and it will not affect his game. Both of them slow-play, which should make for an exciting long match! :p

So, on 8-15 Joey A. makes his usual drive by posting, both players pick a number (one picks 7 and one picks 8) and then they WAIT for JoeyA.
Three days go by and Joey doesn't visit the thread again and the tournament STARTS......

I'd have to go with SVB. He was in my hall last week playing some and he is truly amazing.
