Uses a modified carom taper. You wont get any stiffer that that. He is a 3C guy so he comes at it from a different angle.
Steve Klein Also makes a stiff hitting cue.
My Dieckman has this kind of taper. Just a tad more whip than the Cone which has no flex hitting a pool ball. Not a pool player but I"d think you'd want a little flex but without the vibration I see so often in pool cues especially when hitting a carom ball.
Some of the stiffness comes in the joint that's why the Lambros is mentioned. I remember the old Viking Super Joint. Talk about solid. If that's appealing.
