Who works for who? (personal beef, dont waste ur time readng this) its for one person

I learned something today in the pool world, that some people who collect paychecks from other people are actually their boss. So I was told at a very hi voice tone, high enough to attract the casino security guards, not my voice. The rouge employee was getting a bit excited. But he did say enough to hang himself.


The guy who collects the paycheck told me that "So and so works for me!!!, I dont work for him". "F him"and one other things not as brash. The guy that pays him works for him is what he made clear to me.

Notable people in the pool world for the past 40 years heard this loud out burst assertion of his power(meanwhile he collects pay checks). The gentleman who writes the pay checks isn't aware of it-to the best of my knowledge.

I'm not going to elaborate on this anymore.....yet. But I might as I feel a duty to the man writing the checks. He should be aware that the tail is trying to wag the dog.

Sorry if this is confusing, I'm not referring to myself, but to other people-that why I said I learned something. I dont write pay checks to anyone in pool.


I apologize to anyone who reads this, if I wasted your time-my purpose is to bury a certain person in pool's reputation if I feel it necessary. Perhaps nothing will come of it and it will blow over, I hope it does blow over. But I will posture for a attack until it is settled.

sorry Ross, its only for one person. Maybe he will read this and do the right thing. Otherwise I may clear this all up for everyone. If he does come to his senses this will be deleted. I have copies of this OP so if the thread goes away, I can still take care of business. Its really a shame what happened. I hope it blows over, but someone has somethings to be held accountable for. I wont embarass anyone yet as its not necessary. I really dont like this, but playing me for a sucker is a MONSTER mistake.

Eric, you should name names. We all can guess who you are talking about... some of us would be right and some wrong. By telling us who this guy is we won't be imagining the wrong party... kinda' like releasing the innocent from our minds.

?? What is rouge? Are you saying rude?
 
Sometimes The Person Writing the Check ISN'T the Boss.

I didn't listen and I wasted my time reading this. So I was trying to think about a situation where the person writing the check wasn't the boss. Well, there is a story going around right now about a big donor to the U. of Conn. that was mad that he was left out of the decision making process for hiring their new football coach. He felt since he was writing some big checks (in the millions) that he should have been in on the decision making. Well, to the AD's credit he didn't bother to get this guy's blessing.

Of course, it doesn't sound like that's what's going on here but this just got me thinking.

Any chance the person writing the checks in this situation isn't the "boss"???

Hypothetically (since this whole scenario is playing out very cryptically): If person "A" puts up $5000 but person "B" puts in 100 hours of effort organizing and running things, who is the boss? I would argue that person "B" has far more investment and should be entitled to make some decisions.
