Same reason other threads of his get locked, deleted, etc...
I'm sure he moans to the mods about his livelihood (blah, blah, blah) and hence, the cycle continues because new people don't have the advantage of reading all the crap that has accumulated over the past couple of years.

Of course this is only IMO :grin:

And what about all the guys he did things for? All the times he offered & completed free repairs and gave out a free cue to a guy serving in the military? Plus when he used to share insight into cue building and design?

This is why the threads get closed. So far he hasn't cheated or stolen anything. So don't make statements unwarrented, and threads won't be closed. Cincy's thread was closed not by him, but by everyone else who decided to become a party involved.

A man made a mistake, he publicly apologized for it on several occasions, and no-one lets up with the onslaught. I understand how some may be upset about this, but things like this can't be fixed overnight. KV is making good on his side of the deal, be it a bit over the orginal deadline. I'm sure everyone who is owed a cue will get it. Thats all anyone who has been 'siding' with 'varney the terrorist' has been saying all along. Does continuous bashing or trying to wrong someone else solve the problem? No, and it certainly doesn't help.

Well said & thank you sir. I have a LOT of support on this forum from many happy customers & friends that simply choose not to get involved in these mudslinging threads. And this will be my only post in this thread as I've promised the mods not to join in either. But again, thank you very much LoGiC for showing the other side of the story.:)

I applauded him for those acts of kindness, I honestly did. Especially when he gave a cue to a serviceman who couldn't afford one. I was one and God only knows you will never get rich defending your country.
It still begs the question as to why the threads that show him in a negative light are removed / locked.

Funny thing is, the guy that stiffed Jay Helfert on this site - actionhound - got banned. Kevin Varney can stiff a guy for two years, apologize, tell the buyer his cue will be there Wednesday, the cue not show up, and continue on.

Even worse, by banning Actionhound, Jay is all but assured to never see a penny of that money. I say keep em alive long enough to make it right and then drop the hammer.

It only takes 1 "screw up" to negate 100 "ataboys". In this case there were multiple screw ups. JMO. There has been a clear pattern over the last year or so. How many times does this have to happen before it is recognized as habitual?

Honestly, with all this hullabaloo, I'm surprised that somebody hasn't run one of those Varneys through a bandsaw, filmed it, and made that their avatar. LOL ;)

you mean when he put already ordered cues to the side to do repair work for rep points?

"A man made a mistake" is that really what you said? just one huh? to my knowledge the guy who took my spot on the waiting list still hasn't gotten the cue i ordered 18ish months ago.

nobody's trying to wrong anyone in these threads. we're just trying to make sure that newer members don't get stuck in this trap

It's hard to like the cue after you've gone through all this crap....
It just has a bad stigma to it now....

I wouldn't blame you if you put it up in the "For Sale" section...
