If you were, this is my response:

1. The very first line of your post is contradictory in so many ways. My post said my 2 cents...you are reading way into it dude. I'm a player and yes...it matters to eventually earn other "players" respect....you would only know/understand this if you are one. Maybe you are not one...I don't know.

2. I never said I was "special...you brought it up....and you obviously missed the logic in my post.....where am I being disrespectful rather than truthful??? Please tell me....because I am a straight up person...if I was bashing I would post "I AM BASHING"....I stated clearly that the bashing is UNNECESSARY....read the post again.

3. You are right everybody deserve a simple respect as a person, after that the respect has to be earned....I posted that I don't quite respect her AS A PLAYER YET....READ THE POST AGAIN.

Don't take the things I post outta context....and don't try and pick a fight with me either....it defeats my whole purpose of visiting AZ. I had something to say about the subject, and did, what law did I break?

I read this whole thread from the beginning and I see no wrong in anything Marsissa posted. Seriously, she is a little harsh....but I kinda "get" where she is coming from. I definitely am with her on certain issues regarding CW (ugh/eww/perv), and his "marketing words/tactics" - in that sense I do see eye to eye with Marissa.

Now me and Sweet Marisa have had our disagreements - but I highly doubt her being jealous or envious. She is a strong and opinionated woman, who loves this game.....hating on her for that is the same thing like hating on Shanelle for her looks/boobs/whatever, right??? Marissa turns heads as well...and unlike Shanelle, she doesn't need to cake all that makeup on her face (haha, but it's true, Shanelle wears a sh!tload of makeup and in pictures you can tell!)....to you guys it doesn't matter cause "other" things catch your eye.

Think about it before responding.

The way you guys run to Shanelles defense on EVERY issue is ridiculous/pathetic - it's like overly-protective, infactuated fans that hope to one-day-be-her-boyfriend kinda actions < ok that's me being a little caddy....but it's true...haha!

Nobody is running to her rescue. She is mean period. This is exactly the same as the A-hole who attacked Austin{edited} for getting to play Efren. An A-hole is an A-hole Sweet M you can put the shoe on. Are you going to join her? Must be nice shoes everybody wants one.

I think you have justified our bashes of Marissa. Since you bashed us for bashing SM, this means it was OK for us to bash SM for bashing Shanelle.

I have to wonder though, if the Shanelle "haters" came down on Austin when he played that IPT match against Efren. I know, I know, Austin gives Shanelle the wild rainbow, but Efren gives Austin that. He wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for his age, just like Shanelle wouldn't be sponsored if it weren't for..... CW's loins?

But the IPT was just giving the fans what they asked for. If it were up to me, I'd sponsor someone better at pool than Shanelle, but guess what, it's not up to me. Why worry so much about the good "unfair" things that happen to someone else. That doesn't mean something bad happened to you. It just means that someone got something easier than we did and the rest of us still have to work just as hard for it as before she came along. That's life.

Shanelle will fade away in time unless she gets better... or unless she is profitable for her sponsor despite her lower skill level. And if the latter happens then they made the "right" choice. Yes, it's sort of sad from a pool-purist standpoint, just like I hate the argument that people make that the 9-ball should count on the break because "fans love it". Makes me wonder, who are these numb skull fans? :embarrassed2: But I digress.

In the meantime, I can really appreciate posts like Blackjacks. He was able to express his non-pro Shanelle view on the matter without dogging her. Not that you dogged her Phoebe, you didn't (well except a little bit to lift Marissa up :wink, but you could just feel the hate in some of the other posts. And no, I'm not writing this in hopes of Shanelle seeing it and saying, who the hell is that hawt Cuebacca dude, I'm going to dump my man and track him down. OK, I lied, I totally am. :shocked2: Shanelle are you reading this??? LOL. hehe. j/k.

Marissa has another hater on her side, which I'm sure has given her some validation to bash poor Shanelle. It doesn't change the fact that Shanelle is a lovely person, is doing a great job, is doing something she loves, and as far as women go, is a good responsible role model for other females. If all women had her drive and ambition, and didn't waste their time acting like high school scamps, women would be doing much better in all aspects of society. But of course, for every step forward by a Shanelle, there are plenty of Marissa's out there keeping women in their place by gossiping about them.
I haven't seen Shanelle going around bashing other female players. In fact, in interviews she's stated that she looks up to them, and hopes to become as great as they are. I think that means Marissa would feel better if Shanelle was just like her...talking smack. That would make you feel better eh Marissa? If Shanelle said Allison Fisher was ugly, and if Shanelle said the only reason Cutec sponsors Allison is because someone wants to bone her. How about if we stereotyped all female players based on Marissa's logic, that they all want to get boned by Charlie Williams? Marissa would disagree because that would only apply to players who are more attractive than Marissa. She's not jealous of Allison or Karen. For Marissa, sweet Shanelle is a perfect target.
Marissa, don't go around the thread telling people they're ignorant or should get a life. You're about as lame as they come. Let's call things for what they are...

No one will argue the fact that sex sells, but I do think that many women who actually PLAY pool will see a problem when a company is trying to pass off an amateur as a pro. Shanelle's current level of playing ability makes her more like a "spokesmodel" at best.

But let's not dance around the fact that she is just something pretty to look at, nothing more.
