Why you should not miss the TAR Stream in Vegas

I'm going to list several reasons why if you have never bought a PPV before, you should not miss this one. Or if you haven't in a while, you should get this one.

TAR has invested a lot of money in some new HD cameras. They have Nathan and Dave from Runoutmedia helping them with the production. Which means that you are going to have mobile cameras and many different views.

If you've watched pool on ESPN, you're going to have a idea of what you're going to be seeing. Well... except for the canned clapping after every shot:D

If you've been living under a rock, there is this thing called the CSI 2011 US Open Onepocket Championships and the CSI 2011 US Open 10 Ball Championships that are going on in Las Vegas.

TAR is streaming both of them. Onepocket is going on right now and the 10 ball starts May 16th thru the 21st.

I'm attaching several pictures to help my case of why you should not miss the stream. See you all there!!!

TAR Home Page - Links to everything there (obviously)
www.theactionreport.com

The first group of pics are to show the bonus of all the different angles you'll see. With a mobile camera, you will see the players away from the table, different views of the players shooting, views from around the room. The pic of Scott Frost and Chris Bartram were taken from around 60 ft away.

Part 3

Close up shots - You're going to see some great crystal clear close up shots. You will see cameramen quickly zoom in to situations that the commentators are talking about. One shot here shows the balls under the table. The commentators were discussing how many balls someone had and the cameraman quickly zoomed in to put the question to rest.

You'll also get interviews and great commentators such as the one and only Billy Incardona. A newcomer to the scene is Steve Booth, owner of onepocket.org.

Thanks for posting.

TAR to the best of my knowledge was the first to stream pool. I've heard others claim to do it, but TAR was the first to do in that I knew.

The Ultimate 10 Ball Championship brought streaming to a new level in my opinion. I know our TAR guys were aware of this. I am so happy that they were able technically and financially to step and increase the quality of their streaming. With this competition, we as pool fans only have a lot to look foreword to.

Teaming up with Runout Media is a great move. Runout Media has produced some high quality work.

Without you guys working hard to produce this stuff, we as pool fans wouldn't have anything.

Screw ESPN! Long live TAR, Runout Media, Big Truck and everyone else and all of your hard work. It is not taken for granted. Thank you.

:) Great pics from the stream appreciate you posting them and helping spread the TAR love.

that match was the reason not to miss the stream, you all missed out on one of the best matches ever on TAR

THIS is what they should have been doing on ESPN all these years. They had (and still have) the cameras to do close-ups like this. I have advised I don't know how many directors to do this. Only one (Pat Fleming) understands when and how to use close-ups in pool.

And now Justin is fast getting up to speed with the technology/equipment to give us all more great pool. He has a good team around him too. Nathan of course, Billy and Joey in the booth and Sammi doing interviews. NICE!

I agree, it was a great onepocket match. Weighing in at 3 1/2 hours, it went neck and neck the whole way. You will get to see what onepocket is all about with this match. Not some 8 and outs all the time (although Efren did run 8 and out once) There is 2 very creative players with masterful cueball control, so there's not may sellouts.

It got down to 3-3 hill game. Corey gets up 7-4. Corey needs 1 ball for the match and Efren needs 4. That's not good for Efren. 3 hours and 15 mins of playing and it comes down to the last 4 balls on the table with Efren needing them all.

Corey tries to come off the left side of the 13 and come back down to the bottom of the rail. The cueball is headed for the side pocket, is he going to scratch? NO!!! He hits the tit and leaves a shot for Efren.

Efren has to make all 4 balls. He makes the 1st 3 balls setting himself up for a tough bank on the 13 (the ironic thing is.. his game ball is the one Corey sold out on). He makes the ball and we get to see several fist pumps done in Efren's own special way:D

It was a fantastic match up and if this ever makes it's way to DVD or online availability, I highly recommend watching/getting it.

Today is going to be GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See, I told you all, you should not miss this stream. We got today's final matches in onepocket and then they're off to the 10 ball all week.

It was a great/epic match between Corey & Efren, thanks for taking the time for all the pictures. By the way, John Henderson is guaranteed 7th/8th after beat Paul Song in the losers side.

Viva la old guys!!!!!

Dave

Two things I've noticed in this tourney:

1. Efren is still a contender (almost a year and a half after his derby resurgence)

2. Pagulayan is a beast. He lost his first match and has won six straight, and is still rolling

Isn't the hot seat match suppose to be going on right now?

I just bought the days events and can't seem to get anything but a black screen in the player that comes up.

With who's left still playing I think I might have to buy today.. earl, efren, alex, deuel, frost, henderson..

I just wanted to take a quick second to thank everyone for thier support. Collaborating with Justin seems to offer the best combination of great events, big action, and our high production value.

We did this for TAR20, last years US Open 10 Ball, and now this event. Although it's been a sparatic teaming in the past, it's looking like we'll be joining forces as a unified team from now on.

Its been a learning process thus far, and things can only go up from here.
