China must be reckoned one of the most likely to win the event after this dominating effort. Very impressed with both Jinhu Dang and Wang Can.
Amusingly, the announcers made the third seeded Chinese team seem like a cinderella story that just appeared on the radar. This was most definitely no upset.
Karl just blew chalk off his tip...

There is something very wrong with the way China payed today. That whole this game is easy lets run out thing is a sign that their parents never taught them to share as children. I for one feel bad for team china... I hope someday they can learn to share.
I thought the same thing and was surprised when he hit it the way he did. Assuming he knows more than me,, I have to think it was just too far to try to throw the ball.
That being said....what exactly was he trying to do? Play safe by locking him to the back side of the 6 ball?
I have to disagree Jay...
I don't think the 8 ball could have been made even if he hit the 6 on the left side. I don't believe the 6 would catch enough of the 8 to throw it into the pocket.
I was surprised to see Ralf even attempt the shot as opposed to playing a safety.
Did you see the six-eight combo Ralf missed a couple of games earlier. The eight needed to be thrown in, but not by using English. Ralf needed to hit the left side of the six to throw the eight into the pocket. How he didn't know that is beyond me. That's Pool 101!

One of the announcers hasn't a clue about which team is strong and which team is not. He is going by what he overhears and who he personally favors. Right now China and Finland have been the most impressive teams. I also have to like Holland and England A because they have Niels and Darren respectively.
This may surprise all of you that think I favor the Filipino players. I DON'T like Dennis and Lee Vann's chances from here. They have not played well as a team so far. They both look a little tight to me.
