Would You let someone use the EZ Jumper Tool?

I don't see a problem with it.
I routinely use my bridge head to jump balls in the middle of the table.
I have also used two bridges stacked to get a little higher.
If memory serves, Earl had finger extensions at one point to facilitate the same result...
As long as the jump cue is 40" long, I don't have a problem with anyone using it either.
Shaft only jumps are illegal.

Do they allow stepping stools in basketball so I can dunk like Lebron?

Having just read the "So is there footage of the famous 1990's Challenge of Champions dumping scandal?" thread, at first when I read the above quoted, I thought it said "...and dump like Lebron" (meaning, Mike Lebron).

And I was like "What...?"

:p

Darcy, you use the bridge which is part of the equipment. I have seen guys use 2 bridges stacked to get over a ball.

Most of the guys in our league would laugh you out of the room if you pulled the EZ Jumper out. You have the option of using rails and kicking, and now a jump cue. If a person needs a Doo Dad piece of plastic to hit your ball, then maybe you should practice a bit more in other areas.

Lol
I'm just saying I would let someone use it :)
Isn't it kind of like using an extension on the butt of your cue?
There are numerous types of those around.
I personally do not need any kind of jumping aid, because of course I have a Cuejos custom jump cue that I use to"Get over it" :D

I want to use one of those bridge blocks that lines up your shaft for the shot by shining a laser light on the object ball. All you have to do is stroke the cue; since the cue is held firmly in the bridge block you can't get your stroke out of line even if you tried.

Like a Kodak: point and shoot.

Hmmm, I wonder what they make for speed control?

EZ jump tool

I would let them use it, takes more skill than just using your fingers!!! ... lol

I have, in the past, when confronted with a shot close to the rail and having to 'get up' on the shot, pulled a chair over to the table, and rested one foot on the chair while standing on my tiptoes with the other foot, and shoot the shot. I have had people in the past say, 'Wait, isn't that a foul' ...... Well, no it isn't, and there is nothing in the rules against it.

EZ jump tool FYI:

I wasn't directing my statement at you personally Darcy. I know you have a good game and make a beautiful jumper. I probably wouldn't care much if someone pulled one out on me either.

I love pool Doo Dads and jigs myself. Just saying that the EZ Jumper would never find a place in my case.

And I have very short fingers. I have to hold my bridge hand in the air, locking my left elbow into my side to jump usually. Placing my fingers on the table, I can't get a good enuff bridge to jump a ball.

No doubt Terry!
You'll get a chance to hit some balls with one of my jumpers, and hopefully I'll have at least one cue ready to show at the westerns

So I would also be allowed to climb onto the table in order to reach a shot? And I would be allowed a variety of aiming devices such as lasers, protractors, etc? May I also guide the ball into the pocket with my hand on occasion?

What is wrong with climbing on the table so you can reach a shot?

Cheap Air Canada flights on now Darcy. Will be booking one this week.
Just can't do that long boring drive both ways any longer.

I'll be bringing the team and one of my buds from Edmonton or playing singles. Either way, I need to get out of the city for a couple of days.

We are in first place so get a by into the finals. If we win, we get $1400 for the trip.

I don't know...

Would you let someone you were gambling with use the EZ Jumper tool?
If you ran a regional or independent tournaments would you allow the players to use EZ Jumper?
I think it should be allowed. There are a lot of short in hieght, short fingered non-flexable pool players that can't jump well w/o it. Johnnyt=old, short, short fingered non-flexable pool player that could use the tool to get it up:eek:.

I'm about ready to make Shawn Putnam use his teeth if he wants to jump when we play....

Jaden

The jump cue is one of the reasons great players got so much better at playing safe.

I've never seen this jump tool in action, but I would be okay with someone using it.

You think Lebron wouldn't play you one-on-one for anything you wanted to put up even if you had a step stool?

Do you think the purity of basketball would be unaffected if they put one of these in front of each basket in the NBA? Most would think it extremely hokey.

The tournament director should have one standard jump cue for everyone. Nothing smaller or nothing bigger should be allowed.

That's pretty absurd.
Does any td have any equipment?
One diameter tip for everyone?
One weight cue?

Just curious, which is taller, the EZ Jumper tool or a London bridge stood up on its end???

The London bridge is certainly legal and can be used in ANY tournament.

Maniac (the answer to this may be what Johnnyt needs to hear)
