WPC 2007-live internet coverage dates & times

it will be interesting to see how much this match has taken out of Daryl both mentally and physically in the next match.

After that I'm ready for a San Miguel ad!

Damn! I meant to buy some tonight but grabbed my usual fave English cider. Obviously the SM brainwashing didn't work!

man this has to be one of the most interesting and entertaining match i had ever seen. I feel for busta, he was certainly due for one I thought it was his time. But congrats to Darryl for a job well done. He kept his composure and cool and manage to bag this one.

Are there any other matches tonight?

This was a classic. Busty made a great comeback and when he could finally see the finish line, he hooked himself. Then, he nearly fluked the nine, but made a bad hit. Just as well, why should a great match end on a fluke? Peach deserved another chance at the table, and, as far as I'm concerned, the long wait and crowd reaction made it super difficult for him to keep his composure. Running out the match, under the circumstances, was exceptional.

A great day for refereeing, too. Give them credit, they spent as much time as was needed to get the call right. I'm sure Francisco new he'd made a bad hit, but when the ref didn't call it, he was not out of line when he high-fived crowd members.

A wonderful match, well-played by both, and each player showing incredible composure under difficult circumstances. I'll remember this one for a long time. Peach as the better man, but not by much!

3 more.

Gomez vs Kuo

Peach vs Foldes

Gomez or Kuo vs Joven or Boyes

They will be down to the final 2 before it ends today.

Wow, what a match! Daryl Peach just earned a whole lot of fans. He just showed us all what handling massive pressure is all about. I hope he wins the whole damn thing.

I might have to put on a pot of coffee.

This Gomez/Kuo match should be a doozie. They are two of the best young players around.

Well, on another note, if we didn't know Bustie is a true player's player and a gentlemen, he showed it when he was getting a bit pissed at the crowd. One of the first things he did was say, "Sorry Darryl" since he was stopping the match to tell people to stop moving. No arguments with the crowd were necessary. Regardless of the outcome of this match, Bustie shows once again, even under the extreme pressure, that it is possible to behave like a gentleman at the table.

First of all, it looked like Busta KNEW it was a bad hit when he hit it, then he was begging the ball into the pocket, finally he threw his hands up in celebration when it fell. Would he have acceptted the victory if the call was not made?

Busta kept trying to argue that it was a good hit, even after seeing the replays.

Then he didn't want to give Peach a break before resuming play.

And that crowd did everything under the sun to influence that call in Busta's favor. Forget about right or wrong, they wanted it to go their way!! So of course there were no arguments with the crowd, IT WAS HIS CROWD! they would have done ANYTHING he asked!

If you want to see the real class act in that match, look no further than Daryl Peach! His behavior was amazing

Thanks for the coverage fellas.

I can't get the Matchroom feed to work, so your commentary is much appreciated. I was able to get to see Gomez 11-0 blitz of Feijen this morning, and was looking forward to him playing Kuo, but it's not working now. The WPC website doesn't even have live scoring now.

It seems I missed a classic war in Busty/Peach.

actually, they both are not that young. superman is 32 while kuo is 29.

One reason that I felt bad for Bustamante was that he initially got down on that two ball and the cameramen in the stands started taking pics like crazy. He got up off the ball and then when he got back down and shot it, they went nuts again. After the balls stopped rolling, it looked like he was looking at a section of the stands where they were the worst.

These were not fans. They were media and they should know better.

Of course, Bustamante is also supposed to be able to fade that kind of distraction.
