WTB : Searing Cue

Please, dont go onna hunger strike...I been waiting since 1998,

AND I KNOW HIM!!!!

You are just afraid that my hunger strike will work and I'll get my cue first! I'm also bring along with me a Buddhist monk to sit next to an (empty) gas can and scare Dennis into it. I'll let you all know how I did once Mr Searing relents.

Thanks

Kevin

Thanks so much. I think last time I saw FatBoy he had a Searing in his case and I was so busy drooling over a Barry that was in there that I forgot to try the Searing.

Thanks again

Kevin

Hi Guys,

There was one recently on ebay for 1500.00 and the guy end up selling for 3K. It's was a nice 4 pts with veneers with reverse points in the butt sleeve including a tight unilock joint.

I had my chance but couldn't come up with 3K in time for the purchase...this is the market we're in now. Anyone else has a nice searing with points for less than 3K?

Had I known about this auction I would have been a bidder. That won't happen again. I'm confused as to how it could have ever been $1500 if the auction ended at 3K with only 1 bid? Looks to me like the seller had it at an opening bid of 3K and only one guy pulled the trigger. Like I said, that won't happen again.

Thanks

Kevin

It looks to me that the listed cue was a downright heist at 3K, assuming it was straight and intact. Good luck in the search Kevin.

Looks to be a minimum bid of $1500 to start the round of play with a Buy It Now of $3K.
Someone pulled the trigger before anyone else saw it...
One very lucky buyer!

What a steal, the seller must have been desperate for money and/or had no clue as to the value of the cue.

I go on Ebay all the time looking for Searing's and I don't know how this one slipped by.

Oh well ....looks like Christmas in January!!!

You are right, that is exactly what happened.

Thanks

I am not sure but it looks like the auction was slated to go 5 days but someone snapped it up within 2-3 minutes.
Again, one very lucky SOB.

Okay back to your search...

I know Dennis's cues are made a by a perfectionist.99.9% of the buyers have no idea how much goes into one of his cues.He will turn down amounts that the eye can't see until he feels its perfect.Inlays that most CMs would let go and be considered perfect, by him would be errors. If he had to he would recut until he felt it was perfect.Ive watched a few other Cms but none come close to what he is trying to achieve. That's why when you pick one up it just feels so good.
