Interesting medical diagnosis. American doctors give one diagnosis and Russian another. Does this have anything to do with government medical care vs private doctors?
Letā€™s hope everything works out for both players. Get well soon guys.

Russia is not known for their medical care. Leaving the US to seek medical care there is a curious decision. Getting good medical care in Russia usually involves paying bribes to get in line.
I wasn't going to say anything, but it's worse than that, worse than the general public knows.

I wish him the best in recovery.

As a person who has had my neck fused twice back in 1990 then in 1995 I understand a little bit about this . Back in those years it was serious stuff and you were restricted to lite duty for 6 months .
Now it's literally a out patient procedure with little if anytime stuck wearing a cervical collar .

I've got a hernia surgery coming up and that will keep me out of commission for at least a month maybe a bit longer , then I hope to start physical therapy and walking more often to remove some of my extra weight .

I wish them both well with their recovery may it be swift and complete !

This is what I was hinting at. Fedor is in his early 20s. I'm not saying that they don't have aliments but it just seemed really odd to me šŸ¤”

Donā€™t know about Sky, but Fedor talked about his back issues when he was on the Joe Rogan podcast. Itā€™s been an ongoing thing. Iā€™ll have to rewatch it, but I believe he said itā€™s because of his height and the wear and tear on his back from his stance. I think he said he has scoliosis šŸ¤”

Edit: @ 51:50 he explains it

fedor has had back problems all his career, due to scoliosis. he had stem cell treatment in chicago last year. this hiatus now was planned before MR announced bosnia.

so i know he wasn't going to make it to bosnia, but didn't know about sky. i really really hope sky gets good help early.

i'm saying that as someone stuck in bed since monday because of a broken back and sciatica that was neglected for too long. it's nice to have something to watch though! switching between the european open and USO 1pkt

One or two visits with the American healthcare system will drain every penny Fedor has ever made, and then some, particularly since he is probably not insured. Can't blame him for taking advantage of a healthcare system that isn't completely broken. I would, however, be alarmed at such different readings of an MRI. I hope he has some care that can be trusted.

For Sky, I wonder what these pro pool players do for health care. Kind of doubt that WNT is providing them with any insurance. Something I have never heard talked about, but seems would be essential to consider turning pool into a real sport. Most of the Europeans probably have health care, the US players probably do not.

Itā€™s the smart decision

Hands down the absolute best thing he could have done. I did the same, I wouldnā€™t do anything ā€œmedicalā€ in America period unless it was trauma care.

Not only does he play good, heā€™s super smart as wellšŸ’ŖšŸ’Ŗ. He will be just fine
