Hello everyone!

I would have thought this would be a pretty big deal around here. Reyes is playing Wu in the Philippines Big Time Billiards challenge series. The match seems to be set for 9 pm Philippines time.

Anyone have links for the stream? I believe it is streamed free, or rather being broadcast on Star sports (ESPN Asia).

Here is a link to the host website:

Ok I'm retarded...I guess you can watch the stream right there!!

I love both of these players...two of my favorites. Reyes has always been my very favorite player of all time, and I know I am not alone here. However, Wu is perhaps the best 9 ball (10 ball) player alive today. This should be epic. I'd say Wu has an edge, but if Reyes brings his high gear, no one has much of a chance. The only part I don't like is waking up at 8 am (est) to watch !!

Enjoy!!

From the bigtime billiards webpage:

Sports Betting at MegaSportsWorld favored Wu against Reyes as of Thursday. A $1-bet on Wu would win $1.68. A $1-bet on Reyes would win $191.

Wow, is wu really that better than Reyes??? I know wu is super talented, but... Damn that's like almost 200-1 or something like that.

It's just an error on their part, it's suppose to be $1.91...

Efren won 9-6! The old master (57 or 58) vs. the young lion (still only 22!) and he showed that he still has some of that old magic! I love watching Wu play though. According to the commentary, no one ran a rack (Ten Ball) until the score was 7-5 Efren. So they were playing safety battles and I like Efren here. He looked to me (I watched the last five games only) as if he was once again calling on his inner "Efren" to regain some of his old magic and he did. The old man can still play when he wants to!

The old dog prevailed, 9 games to 6.

5Gs for Efren, not bad for 2 hours of work...

When the match went off, Wu was even more of a favorite. $1 on Efren paid over $2...

That billiard on the 2-10 was certainly magical. I was pulling for Efren...Wu has 30 years to rake in the championships!!

What a cool show. It seems they will be doing this every Friday? That would be great! Someone needs to tell me how to DVR live streams though. I don't do 8 am very well ha ha.

The kick safes for Efren are still so effortless. And then there are the caroms he plays, the half masse' shots, the combos....

And IMO, the last combo he went for, he was playing the cueball all the way.

The recording is available to watch now. The kick @ 18:35 is top shelf (even though he called the 6, so many good things could happen with the way he went at it). It's so difficult to fade that kind of kicking game. I didn't see the entire match but I wish Efren would have experimented with breaking from the center more. It really baffles me to see the elite players breaking from the rail in 10 ball, but I guess you can't argue with success :)

I dunno, Fred. I wanna BELIEVE, but logic tells me it woulda been easier to make th10, rather than stick whitey on that ball...hoping neither 3 nor 10 touched anythhing.

That said...9-6: I am a believer!

I don't care if I've watched Efren 1000 times. I still am amazed at what he can do with the CB. It seems like anything he can imagine he can pull off on the table. I think he caught the last 2 minutes of "The Color Of Money" last night, when Newman says, "I'm Back". That still gives me chills when he says that. Johnnyt

Efren has lost weight-Hope it was for a good reason.

and the Rack Girl is a total shark for Wu-Efren old enough to pay her no mind.
