Time and effort required to reach Fargo 400, 500, 600

There is an intense physical and mental aspect to the game. Moving up in rank involves many aspects of the game- the more naturally gifted with the mental and physical aspects of the game will proceed faster with dedication. The least naturally gifted would need intense dedication combined with the best knowledge and proper coaching available to have any chance.

If you are someone who spent many years with a bad stroke- combined with major flaws in your mental approach to the game's challenges; the uphill battle to correct everything is enormous, regardless of training and dedication.

Temu HOW tip

How dumb does the tip manufacturer need to be to put the word "glue" on backwards??? Its beyond mind boggling. SMH!!!

Well, probably whoever they have in the factory at the Temu factory doesn’t speak any English. I’m sure if I was trying to knock off something with Chinese characters I could easily get them backwards and not notice.

Amazing collection on Ebay

The collection shows just how much in high esteem the game of pool/billiards was going way, way back. Also, to imagine the early 1900 major American newspaper sports pages held news about Babe Ruth and a major pool tournament at the same level of coverage.

This entire billiard collection today will not sell for as much as ONE Babe Ruth game used bat.

US Open and Mosconi coming to ESPN

ESPN still has 60 million subscribers in the US. Its ESPN Plus service has 25 million reportedly. And tens of millions more access ESPN in some manner or another each year.

If there is one broadcast station young people, especially men, still watch at times, it's ESPN.

Matchroom should focus on streaming and social media, of course, but ESPN+ is a major form of streaming. Better to have ESPN in your stable than not, in my view.

Yeah because now it can at least be in the background at bars and restaurants, while now nobody who isn't interested in pool is going to be exposed to pro pool at all.

Who are the greatest players ever who were not big gamblers?

Well different rooms got different entry's.
A favorite memory for me was meeting Fly Boy. His entry to The White Spot big yearly 9 ball event.
first time i ever saw flyer was at the red roof pub in tacoma. bar table with lines of quarters up and games from 5 to 20
usually. no one except me ever asked to raise the bet. new player usually said what he would bet.
it was at the military base near by so lots of service men there.

one guy i never saw, his turn came up and said whats the bet or something like that, and i said 20? i think he said 50 dont remember but i probably turned him down as no one ever does that except great players.
early in the game he was hooked and jumped the heavy big cue ball over and made his shot. and ran out.

first time i ever saw someone jump. my jaw dropped.

it was stupid to do anyway as you would instantly lose all action. but that was the end of me betting with him.
later i found out who he was. jim speers.

US Open and Mosconi coming to ESPN

i get that sky sports or ESPN can still generate some income, but that demographic is getting old. in medium to long term they're probably better of focusing on streaming and social media
