I don't often see two dry winters in succession, so this winter could be a doozy.

I know, crap in one hand and wish in the other.
See which one weighs the most. :geek:
I remember back in 2017 by the end of December we had received over 180" of snow , we also had winds over 70 mph which drifted in every coulee and many narrow valleys as well as some that weren't so narrow !

I've not ridden my snowmobile in 3 years mainly as I don't like riding alone in case if something breaks to save me a long walk out in deep snow , yes I've done it a time or two over the years it's not as much fun as it could be .

It seems that when we do get some nice moisture it suddenly stops , the grass grows like crazy then dry lightning strikes happen one of the last fires like that burned up more than 400,000 acres wiping out houses , out buildings and livestock , and hay yards some families just bought their kids school supplies and new cloths ..... That all was burned up in the Lone Tree Complex Fire .

The majority of the timber that burned up will never return as this is truly high alpine desert and once those fires get into the deep breaks you can't get in there to fight it dipper or skimmer planes can but the water level of Fort Peck may not be conducive for that to happen ?

Chalk brands

Magic Chalk used to be the rage for awhile. I was never a fan and preferred Blue Diamond.
Well, both of those chalks are in the rear view mirror of most pool players nowadays. Heck,
you can offer new pieces of those chalks to players & don’t be surprised to see the offer turned
down. I use Blue Diamond to chalk my Stinger break cue I switched to a Kamui Sai Break tip.

From what I see, TAOM dominates the market, although I prefer Pagulayan chalk’s rectangular
shape to TAOM’s circular. I can’t tell the difference with V10 so I carry both. The reason is my
original piece of V10 is 16 months old and still has life in it. OMG….the longevity of this chalk
when it’s correctly applied to you cue’s tip is amazing. TAOM chalk can last a very long time.

I chalk now every 3-5 shots with just one light brush stroke of the chalk to the tip. You can go
longer without chalking with V10 but why do it? I’m still using my orig. piece of V10 for nearly a
year and a half. I don’t need to stretch the life of my pool chalk more than I’m experiencing already.

Besides,TAOM is the cleanest pool chalk I’ve ever played with or read about. I cannot imagine using
any other chalk but I realize some folks don’t care what chalk they use. From what I’ve generally seen,
the vast majority of them play with pool cues with blue stained ferrules and shafts. You could usually
pour water into their chalk like it was a miniature chalice. Those players wouldn’t benefit from TAOM.
I have three Taom chalks, I am still using the first one that I got.
It is well over two years old and has plenty of life left.
Seems to be a bargain now.

The way the thunder & lightning was rolling it will be a miracle if a fire didn't get started !

I've been watching different Rodeos here in the US as well as in Canada both Canadian rodeos had muddy conditions , as did Cody Wyoming .
I spoke a bit ago with a friend near Riverton and it's awful dry there , there isn't any rhyme or reason to the weather !

No new fires in our area due to fireworks, so that's good.
Driest I have ever seen and I have lived here since 78.
This coming after the driest winter in history for the area.
Come on Monsoons.

Glad you got some rain.

Do You Think Professional Pool Players Should Be Paid In Crypto Or Cash?

I believe crypto has and will continue to make its place. It can be debated what that will evolve into. I think its best use case will be for the coming agentification with humans being minor participants.

I love the story about DCC and a high stakes game taking place with single coins on the line. This is an ideal use case for the wassies and pepes. The anonymity of crypto was and is widely misunderstood. Every transaction that has ever occurred is published to the public ledger that is used to verify the chain.

Anyway, never pay people in crypto and don't give it as a gift. Normies do not want to receive crypto or have any association to it whatsoever. The industry is a joke but has time to evolve.
Crypto or pool?
Crypto is at the mercy of data centers.

Pool on the other hand is at the mercy of data centers.
