profoundly stupid question

OK- I have a mancave/barndominium 150 yards from house that the Lord gives me great peace in. Diamond professional 8'. I take great care of my stuff...keep my pool room pretty spotless.......My 14 year old daughter had a few friends over and wanted to go shoot pool with her friends...without dad, of course......

What say ye?

Oh my...

Maybe order a few pizzas and a couple racks of bbq ribs too. 😁

Yeah, hell to the no!

I'll be happy to join them as the cool dad who'll teach them how to play pool though...

Time and effort required to reach Fargo 400, 500, 600

The right Coach is Huge. The Trinity Highschool football team didn't win a game for 2 years. Then under Coach McHargue lost the first 5 and were down to 13 that won their last 6 the first season of his coaching. Went on to win 31 straight at 10 or 11 per season.
My astute observation had me asking Backward Jan for lessons as opposed to giving him my lunch money playing 8 or 9 ball. $20 a week for 6 weeks (1980s dollars earned at 10 per hour). His first requirement was no gambling while in his lessons program. One hour lesson once a week with one hour practice every day in between was a Huge success. At a time when I thought I was a B+ , well I was winning B tournament s but folded up like a cheap lawn chair playing with the big boys.

A reality check on aiming systems of all kinds

Place an object ball on the spot. Place the cue ball in the jaws of a pocket in the kitchen. Now move the cue ball forward directly toward the spotted object ball until you can get a comfortable bridge.

This is a half ball shot from maximum distance for such.
Actually, it's only about 26.5°, so a half ball hit (30°) would overcut by a couple inches. Could still go in with throw, a roomy (5") pocket, or subconscious adjustment.

Here's how VP4 models the half ball hit:

LFV recovering from surgery, after head-on collision forces him to be medivaced to hospital A reported head-on collision in the early hours of Monday morning (June 29), sent Lucas Fracasso-Verner (LFV), in a helicopter, to a hospital in Asheville, NC. The driver of the vehicle, Kane Whitman, was air-lifted to another hospital. Who are the greatest players ever who were not big gamblers?

It musta been the early 80s or even late 70s when I had a waterbed shop at 8222 South Tacoma Way. Had the shop in the back of the store and had a pool table in the shop. Was real handy and profitable for after hours action.
Cocomo was a Tacoma player that got my lunch money for a little while. Then I....uh matured on the pool table. The White Spot had a ring game built around me in the beginning. When I walked through the door, " RING GAME!" was called out. Then when I grew up, silence and a quick glance at the watch followed by, "I gotta go."
