Funny pic/gif thread...

This view only works works where one believes in a god and that their god is the only god.
nope, work on your logic. It works where there is a God. Your belief doesn't matter. There is objective truth. Now Inferno was backwards in his original post but he's right on if there's a God, then your belief matters not. It would have to be who's God as in who is God, since whose god denotes posession and if there is a God, and there is, He is everyone's. People's willful or otherwise ignorance, or denial of that doesn't make it any less so.

Adrian Viguera ( Hadrianus Cues )

A real shot in the dark here, but anyone know who might want to sell me the joint protectors pictured here? I’m the current owner of this cue and it’s sticking around a while. I’ll probably post in the wanted forum, but this is really specific.
No direct help but ...I have virtually same cue and the threads are not standard.

Good luck!

Jacoby V5

There was a short clip on it in the Super billiards expo post I think, or maybe I saw it somewhere else. Some reviewer was going around and stopped at the Jacoby booth to look at his award winning cue then asked about the new shaft. Brandon took him over to a table and let him shoot some balls with it. He shot about 20 shots and I don't remember him missing. Brandon also showed where the difference was by flexing the shaft sideways back and forth. It seemed to bend fairly easily in the middle. So it looks as though they designed it to flex away from the ball more easily when using english. At least I think I saw it that way.
Edit found it.

Thank you for sharing!
It sounds like Brandon Jacoby made the shaft more flex which is the complete opposite of what other manufacturers are doing making their carbon shafts more stiff. Very interesting!

Practice what I Preach

Probably some of that uh Kung Fu stuff. 😉
Jew Jitsu was my self taught from the county library when I was in the 8th grade and had to learn to deal with the bully.....well in hand to hand. I learned the with a weapon lesson at 8 years old. 🤷‍♂️ lost my day old bb gun for 1 full year. The sawmill little Rascals like group of older boys saw to it that I carried one of their guns when we were on a Frog hunt. The pearch in the pond enjoyed the lunch. 🤷‍♂️
Slow and steady is the Anaconda method, kinda vibes with the jew Jitsu teaching. 🤔
Choke them out the first attempt or risk igniting their fight or flight fire.
I enjoy a good fire fight on the pool table. Doesn't mean I wouldn't Rather win. Just appreciate a good performance ......
Now the Morning after introspective as my morning fitness carries on.
Left vs Right just one lap of the 16 shots.
Wash rinse repeat.
Basic Training taught how to carry on beyond your perceived limits.
Free the mind, imagine the shot
Then get down on the shot.
Period. Fine tuning only when down. Get the balance right through practice practice practice.
I liked juggling . I guess out doors and with golf balls is where I should replay that exercise.

OB slow roll to the pocket and stops at the very edge - foul

Someone told me that if a CB hits the OB and the OB slow rolls to the pocket without hitting a rail, but crosses the imaginary "rail line" it is not a foul, any truth to this?
Personally, I would call foul, but I could be wrong...

You're correct.

A ball must either be pocketed or contact a rail.

Another stupid thread from me: golf is harder than pool

i grew up feeling if something wasn't on the line, meaning reward for good and pain for bad it want a contest. and wasn't worth putting all your effort into it.
as the result was meaningless. except for ego satisfaction. whatever that is for some.

Fun little backstory...

My Grandpa ran a small Brewery in Appleton, Wisconsin.

At 10, I worked part time that summer sweeping up around the brewery.

Across the street was a small tavern owned by Bob and Ellen Bleier, parents of Rocky Bleier, of Pittsburg Steelers fame.

After work, to my mother's great distress, grandpa would take me over to Bliers and we'd play a few games of pool and have a beer. Back then, if your grandpa said it was ok, they'd give you "a little beer for a little guy"...

That was the first place I ever shot pool and drank a beer in a bar. You don't forget memories like that!
