any really tall pro players?

i'm listening to scott frost and boyes commentating the battle of the bull, and young riku romppanen is playing. apparently he's grown a foot or so the last years. scott says he's around 6'6". made me think that among the top pros over the years, has there been anyone that tall? i don't think kaci is? was buddy hall?

in snooker there's ricky walden but he got back problems fairly soon into his career. being that tall seems like a disadvantage

You also have the InFuze shafts, there is one branded Lucasi made of regular wood and one that is branded Pure X that is made with kielwood.
I have the Kielwood version, plays nice, low defletion but not as low as my SMO CF shaft. My shaft is a bit on the heavy side, I understand that it's not the standard, I wish it was a bit lighter.

Soft hitting custom cue maker cues?

I'm curious, what has happened to change your perspective from a few short years ago...?


Did you find a firmer hitting cue and decide that you really do prefer the soft hitting cue that you previously had?

If you know what you want, any competent cue maker can satisfy.
But YOU need to have that discussion with HIM.

Absolutely right on everything you said except to the best of my knowledge, doesn’t every taper start at the ferrule
and extend up the shaft? Interestingly, you picked up on deflection but that does not have to coincide with the OP
query…….softest hitting cue. Only the cue maker can help with that but like I earlier posted, none are mind readers.

pearls for swine with that audience... but it is a surprising stat. i guess he hasn't played much lately and has been selective in what tournaments he plays the last couple of years, but still it's surprising.
