Grady's in Lexington, SC

I’m in Columbia now visiting our son. I leave an extra cue here just for the opportunity to go play a bit. Tried to rent a car but because of USC graduation none were to be had. Uber to Grady’s today.
I was wondering why the rental car lot was so empty!! I fly out tomorrow morning at 5:00 otherwise I'd try to meet up for some practice.

Are Junior players being set up for a tough life?

Life can be funny. I got out of the military because I wanted to be home for my family. Ended up traveling 50% in IT for work, then closer to 75%. Great for my game, horrible for family and my intentions. I got an IT director position and was able to stay home, then the Mezz tour started but because of my job, I wasn't able to practice like I did when traveling before and it affected my game. Then health problems etc...Can't complain about my life but in retrospect sometimes it would be better just to do what you love rather than fighting it.
true- you should do what you love, but life is complicated- you can have multiple passions- hobbies, jobs, relationships. Difficult to get them all to align at the same time.

8 ball allergy.

The last couple of weeks, I seem to have fallen into a pattern. Putting together decent patterns, and then going "mind-blind" on the 8 ball. I don't feel like I'm doing anything different on the 8, than I am on any other shot during the rack. Pre-shot routine seems fine, I don't feel like I'm rushing, breathing feels the same, etc...I'm just missing. Do any of you Mosconis out there go through this? What do you do to "flip the switch?" At this point, I'm considering witchcraft!
🤬😭😂
Always try and have two balls your playing shape to before the 8. Meaning if you come long on one shot or short on the other shot, your able to get in line with the other ball making that ball either a stop shot or an easy ball to make for shape.
Also make sure when your ''down and done'' you Only look at the 8 ball last.
