I see, thanks for answering all these questions. I have one more.. if the cue ball hit the object ball at a very thin cut with a lot of vertical spin, then the curve will likely happen after it contacts a rail right?

Use type is a big factor.

Pretty much any vehicle will reach a certain mph and there's a big difference when you get in the high performance zone.

Carbon can do high performance better and we don't really put the capability to use...but it is real.

I use wood too.

Edit: I'll amend that, maybe allow them but require that once you unload your cues you close them and hang them on a chair. Been my experience that no one does.

I have a butterfly case but quit using it because the shoulder strap detached, I like my butterfly much better than my top loader. When I arrive at a facility to play I will unload my cue on an empty table if available, if not a regular table works, if not available the chair I sit in will also work. If there are no chairs I can unload by standing my case up and just unzipper it partially, the cues slide right out the top. After I am unloaded I find a corner to lien my case in. I never leave shit laying around in peoples way. One place we shoot at is very tight quarters. They have large banquet tables for people to sit at and to put their drinks and other stuff on, people are always leaving their cases on the table oblivious to the fact that if everyone did that there wouldn't be room on the table for anything else. I put my case under the pool table, a few of the less brain dead individuals started doing the same after seeing me do it. Not sure why there are people out there who are oblivious to the inconvenience they cause others, it must go back to the brain dead thing. I think the absolute worst cases are the ones with legs like a golf bag, in a dimly lit bar it's real easy to walk into the end of a cue protruding from a case with legs and they take up an ungodly amount of space. One guy in our league had one and insisted on using it no matter how small the facility was, I cany count the number of times his case and cues were laying on their side from people walking into it or tripping over it and he just couldn't understand why it happened.

When LD started becoming a thing. I knew they were beneficial but I couldn't stand the feel of them, they're dead, hollow feeling(which is exactly what they are). That's why I didn't whine about it OR say, I'm sticking with good old old growth maple (which I have btw) No, I developed a ld shaft that has proper feel.

I'll eventually get everything in order and I'll officially launch Ontarget Billiards, or I won't. Whatever is, is. lol.

I mostly design and develop for me, but there's no reason that others shouldn't benefit from my ingenuity.

Funny story, I was traveling for work and took some time off and visited family in Alabama. I went to a local tournament in Hunstville and I see a local cue repair guy making one of my tip designs. I go over and say, hey, what ya doing? and he said yeah a guy on one of the forums was talking about making these so I thought I'd try myself. I lol'd and said yeah that's me. I have a patent on them. His eyes got pretty big until I told him it's all good dude, you can make them. I don't care.

His performance this year was bad enough. But his effort was even worse. He admitted to not practicing much before recent tournaments. Sjm probably didn’t see or read Woodward’s remarks, but here’s what he said during the U.S. Open.

Woodward said he is motivated now. He said the other day he hopes he makes the Mosconi team. He knows he is in danger of being left off, missing out on some guaranteed money and perhaps losing sponsors.

Agreed 100%. Skyler just hasn't earned a spot. I suspect he realizes it, too. His relative absence from WNT ranking events this year speaks volumes.
