it's been so long since I've played with a big cue ball that I couldn't remember how the cut shots were different- thanks for reminding me!Here's a bizarre thought:
The big ball actually cuts thinner than a regular pool ball. Common knowledge but the epiphany was a stunner.

The Best players in the world would reguarly avg. over 3.00+ in many games!I rest my case. Why would I think you would given up that spot.

So back to my question about using either cue ball for every shot.
Would a tournament be exciting if they did something like that?
BTW, Cochran's average for that 1944 World Championship 'Optional Ball' was, 1.35!
The Lower tier B+-A- players in the world today average that in 'Normal' play!

Pretty much the whole field was at the hall at some point this evening. They offered the tables for free to participants I believe. Wish I had more time to spend there. Just an hour between a 12 hour shift, and a few more hours in the home office 
at least three quarters of the field were there in my brief pit stop. Hopefully I get some of the work mountain done and can spend a bit of time playing in the coming days.
