I was wondering the same thing. It almost looks like you can see the tenon through the joint collar. I'm not saying that's the case. Rather that's how it looks in the picture. What is the gray hue in the upper half of the joint in your first picture?
Also, what material is the joint.
Thanks.

My understanding of the draw to Brazilian Rosewood is that it's considered to be one of the best tone woods. It's incredibly popular for guitar backs and other musical instruments. The figured pieces are also quite beautiful, so that's not nothing.I know a couple of cuemakers who don’t like BRW primarily due to the fact it’s hard to find stuff with good color and figure. They think people are more infatuated with the name than anything.
I guess Im lucky I got my RADAR unit when they were still available.Maybe you folks that want a Pool Table Radar can begin to ask "Sports Sensors" to revitalize their product. The gentleman that designed it, has passed on, but his kids are running it now. They have the stuff to do it, it's just a matter of "Is there enuff "WANT" out there", for this product.
Why? Not sure if your my type, send me a pic and we'll talk about it.Fu@k you
