Seems like a good idea, Bob, for precisely that reason.

Some top players could get a notably tougher path than others. Realistically, though, anyone not seeded is going to be well outside the top 100 in Fargo.

if collecting you have little choice.

but for a shooting cue it is almost insane to buy unseen. just try out cues at your pool room or buy from a local that you can shoot it and see how it feels and hits.

but if buying for looks then you also have to buy unseen for the most part.

Mind if I ask why you are interested in the make and model?

The cue is an extremely plain cue, and is worth a hundred, max without any sort of providence.

I found that 29.5” and 30” shafts are often required by some brands to produce a 4 ozs.and heavier Kielwood shafts.

Custom cue makers do a better job at selecting heavier blanks and can build 29” KW just as heavy. It always comes
down to the individual building the shaft & the available wood inventory. There isn’t any good reason to settle for less
or having to order a 13mm shaft instead of a thinner 12.5mm shaft that is always going to be lighter because of mass.
