DCC one pocket speed-up rule

Diamond rep consulting top pro player about new DCC one pocket rules:

DRep: “So, Tony, what do you think of these new rules we’ve made up to speed up the matches and make it a more aggressive game?”

TC: “What? Are you saying my game isn’t aggressive enough?”

DRep: “No, no, Tony. You’re plenty agressive (chuckle). But we want to speed up the matches and get everyone shooting like you do.”

TC: (glances at the new rules) “Can I still shoot at my hole?”

DRep: “Yes, yes. Of course, Tony.”

TC: “Rules are good by me.”

ha ha! I'd actually believe this is exactly how it went down.

I'd love to know what "top players" told Mr Sullivan in the early 90's that his cushions and pockets were worth a damn.

Help with thoughts about an unknown Pool cue. Abe Rich style joint.

I am curious if anyone here knows any info about this cue?

I think it has some decent looking Curly Maple in it, and some type of Burl(?) in the butt sleeve? I do not know what that material is, below the maple, on the butt sleeve.

If this cue is garbage, and not even worth asking about, then please do not give me a hard time for asking about the cue.

I am not sure what the wrap is, but it does not feel like Irish Linen. This leads me to believe that it might be a 70's era cue, for example. Or very old. Not sure though.

The joint remind me of the way that Ave Rich did his joints. Very big pilot.

The joint pin is 5/16x14, with a Brass(?) joint collar. Again, not sure about it being Brass, but I do know that the pin and threads are 5/16x14.

Thanks a lot for any thoughts.
