Big pin ivory joint hit

Tim Scruggs, known for all kinds of joints and great playing cues

told me that he

preferred the flat face cues

he felt like they were the best overall
Dean’s post is absolutely spot on…….I miss his showmanship style about pool cues.
Here’s my Scruggs big pin; it’d be hard to part with it for any price it plays that nice.

Killing the game!!

Said it before and I'll say it again. If you won't watch (or play) without a shot clock then you don't understand the game. You are not the only player and not the only observer.

I totally get the reasons for shot clocks, especially when it's on TV. And I'm fine with it. What I'll never understand though is how "pool fans" moan about the lack of a shot clock. Channel hoppers yes, but pool fans no. You are not the only player and not the only observer.

The fact that seven and eight hundred fargos take their time when there is no shot clock tells us something. You are not the only player and not the only obsever.

Shot clocks for TV? Yes it makes sense and 30s is ok, maybe 40s is better, maybe. Shot clocks because pool players are bored watching? You are not the only player and not the only observer.

Maybe go watch bar rules "no pussy shots" rules and start a fight. Or maybe don't and actually love the game.

Fully disagree. Ronnie O'Sullivan was averaging 14 seconds per shot in the recent match where he made two maximum breaks and five centuries. Pros don't need thirty seconds per shot on a pool table.

8 Foot Diamond Rail Problem

Thought I would run this by the experts. Balls have begun hopping off the table on the short foot rail between the two diamonds. This happens even at lower speeds, whatever ball hits the cushion in that area jumps up and bounces after hitting the cushion. No other areas of the table have this problem, all rail bolts are torqued at 15 fp. Table is 4 years old and this issue just started about two weeks ago. Any feedback appreciated!

Thanks-

Danny Mulhollen sneaky pete

If I didn’t already own a Sneaky Pete cue, this is one I’d get. The shaft and butt combination is fantastic. All my cues
are 58” but I’d adjust to 60” pretty easily. Heck, it only involves using a different grip position anyway and the weight
of this cue is the same as all my other cues. It also has a KW shaft which is the future salvation of wood shafts, IMO.

Someone that’s looking for a backup cue, or their very first cue, should take a close look at this cue attractively priced.
